Is this worth still reading bc ik it’s been out for years..does it drag out or get worse?

To make it short…it dragged as hell. You start hating a lot of the original companions. It gets worse in the sense that is a never ending story going in circles trying to make everyone have “good reasons” for their actions and trying to look philosophical while doing it. You start hating every. single. character. (Except mika kind of). They should have discontinued it if they were going to be so lazy about it. I feel so sorry for the original concept of the manga…it wasn’t that original but it was so interesting!

Well~...there's a whole bunch of plot twists going on, on the latest Arc. And a lot of back and forth. So can't really say if it's worth reading or not. Especially when one already came to far into the stories, all we might care about, is to see this through until the End (if we even be given a chance to see the ending, that is).
At least for me. Worth it, or not...I'm not gonna stop reading any time soon. I need to see how this ends. (I hope I'm still alive to see that day come, LOL. Just like with "D.Gray-man". In spite being lost in plot, no matter what, I need to stick until the end. )

It depends, the manga is stillbpopular for a reason, people still find it engaging enough, not me lol, I'm here mostly because I was invested years ago and I want to see a closure since I used to like the characters, but, personally, the flanderization got strong, the mangaka try to make them all look smart, edgy and philosophical but is not working, everyone just does whatever they want and call it a day, they all became morally Gray and greedy as hell and is kind of boring without a real emotional conflict.
Lots of characters were forgotten, and if you weren't invested in Guren, Mahiru, Shinoa or Ferid, characters that , in my opinion became the main focus years ago, with Mika and Yuu falling slowly in the background, is going to be even harder to come back, if you liked anyone else from the Shinoa or Guren squad, they are lucky to have a cameo like, twice a year now, with no dialogue.
But you can give it a try, the manga is not going away anytime soon.

I can usually stomach red flags and such but I keep hearing that the top in this is a black flag, but idk what exactly he did so can I get some trigger warnings? To just give me an idea
Also I’ve heard it’s a love triangle is that true??

i honestly hate red flags but ilay is one of my fav tops. Everything in this is so intense but the obvious subtle gestures is whats my fav part. every panel adds to the story even if nothing is happening. I will say ilay is rapey, he does force himself on tay which is smth the story addresses lightly but doesn't confront full on so thats a warning. He has killed people, and holds no remorse for it since he's absolutely crazy. Otherwise this is in my top 3.

Everytime i see some uber toxic violent mafia semes that act like they live on a different planet than everyone else, by the end of the series i tend to think like do these ppl even love each other? Like can they sit down and talk about their hobbies, friends? Anything other than just have sex. Ik its not supposed to be wholesome and whatnot and it’s not just this one ya know just the whole archetype just makes me feel bad..mainly for the uke ESPECIALLY the historical ones like steel under silk and potn.
Also I haven’t even read this lol I just wanted to talk about the trope

the crazy thing about this one is that, by the end, it’s actually painfully and almost unbearably clear how much they love and care about each other. like i read the final few chapters and i’m like holy shit how did we even land here…???? this series is really REALLY fucked up but it’s written so well the characters genuinely feel human

the seme in this one was ACTUALLY abusive for a large portion of the story but the way the author wrote his Hashtag Growth was so realistic it kind of disturbed me a little. usually the change feels too sudden or out of character but this story reaaally makes sense even though it does actually feel impossible to read sometimes because of … Everything…

if u decide to go through with it, definitely major content warning because it is honestly a difficult read… even so, it was really interesting and i couldn’t make myself stop, lol. there’s definitely a sense of trauma bonding between mc and ml (again, ml was cruel—CRUEL—to mc) but in the end you can understand how they ended up so attached to each other. the character writing in this is incredible, and it really made sense to me Why certain characters acted the way they did… they weren’t cruel for no reason at all, but they didn’t always have a particularly honorable reason either. they were flawed in a way that felt real and couldn’t be easily written away, but still with the capacity to gradually change
This is way more real and emotional than I expected..it might be corny to say but man a lot of this is pretty relatable
