Just finished reading the ending was so unsatisfying. They could’ve definitely added more and there was so much plot holes and unanswered questions.
I think we all forget that when you are actually in this situation, it is so hard to cut off a family member. There’s the constant guilt and pride of wanting to be better than they were to you.

not to be a cop out, but for a lot of asian kids and families it's way more difficult bc of filial piety and other cultural instances, not saying that it's impossible but it's rare to successfully cut off family like this in asia
