reading this and then reading the "spin off" 'the crown prince that sells medicine' is so so frustrating. the story there was good BUT using the same universe was so fucking UNNECESSARY. Imagine it's 300 years after there, yet nothing changed, if it was really where lloyd lived, 300 years later would be enough to make whole world modernized. just saying...
It's just a theory of mine but I think that story might be another one of the author's novels but it didn't do as well as this one so they're trying to piggyback off of its success because that series honestly feels like a cheap knockoff rather than a spin-off. I dropped it earlier on but other than the name drops, it feels disconnected entirely
