That was delightfully twisted. The ending was perfectly disturbed.
Also, the mom is so gorgeous. The art in this was so incredible.
I guess it was too much to expect Hyeon to stand up against rape. That's on me, my expectations were too high.
The art is so unique but conveys the emotion so beautifully. I love the black and white too, it reminds me of older manga which is perfect for the melancholic and historical fantasy vibe.

I'm guessing there was a misunderstanding on Seo-in's side and he thinks Yeongwoon betrayed him or something, which is why he had such a visceral reaction to what Yeongwoon said.
I really don't think the author knew what they were trying to say, what they were trying to build towards, or where the story needs to go. It's a little shocking because The Beast Must Die is so good and so nuanced. To this day, I have no idea why Baek Seon-woo is head over heels for Ki Yoojung except "he's pretty". I completely forgot that the full series wasn't even uploaded because I just didn't care by the end of it.
