Well, his goal is to live a normal life, but that doesn't include enduring the hardships of normal life where the extraordinary might push the normal around. It would be more accurate to say he's tired of battlling for others and now wishes to live a carefree life rather than a normal one.
Hope to see them managing family/household hardships to get their carefree life. Or if there is going be enemies popping up, hope they at least make ML take them seriously. Either of those would make this an enjoyable ocassional read.
