I swear this author is allergic to ending chapters on a good note. Always ending it with a sad monologue. At the very least, let us enjoy the moment. Regardless, this chapter is so good; they are so perfect with each other. I hope that the author doesn't bring up that uncle guy for love triangle shenanigans.

I read the entire novel years ago, and if you still find Riftan frustrating because he is quick to assume, always angry, and doesn't really communicate much, I tell you, he remains like this up to the end.
