I disagree. Kissing another person without ur partner knowing, not to mention getting a blow job from them, is cheating. If Alex and Cole had decided that they weren't going to be exclusive in their relationship (that it's ok to see other people) and perhaps discussing how far they'd be willing to let each other go with other partners. But Alex and Cole are in a decidedly exclusive relationship. And this isn't the way to establish an exclusive relationship that, but Cole even pulled a gun on Alex when he thought Alex was going to cheat on him. Also, the nature of Cole's kiss w what's-his-face was sexual, and a blow job is blatantly sexual. U wouldn't do sexual acts w someone whom u intended to only be roommates and/or friends. Most people would feel betrayed in situation. So it's cheating, plain and simple.

So let me show you what an actual reference is while I'm at it: the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines cheating as "to be sexually unfaithful" ( https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cheat). Case in point, Cole was willingly participating in sexual acts without Alex's consent. Ur definition, which u credited to "google", is actually from macmillandictionary.com and is notably at the bottom of google's search results where less relevant info is often placed. Merriam-Webster is at the top of the page, so it kinda looks like u just selected the first definition that suited your opinion while ignoring the resources that came before it. Also, blow jobs are still classified as "penetrative sex", and kissing for sexual pleasure is a form of "non-penetrative sex". Anyways, dictionary definitions are pretty arbitrary when it comes to something as steeped in emotional upset as cheating. Whether a book defines it as cheating or not, it's still gonna hurt when a partner goes behind ur back and tongues someone/gets a blow job from them.
