Not by him though? He stood by and didn’t do much sure but he also caught the ml smelling his gym clothes while in school. Him standing by may not have been the right thing to do but he was a kid and seeing that would freak most people out. And later the ml practically (or did, I don’t remember) raped him. Then he was practically forced to hang out with him first because of his boss and then by circumstances all while feeling scared because of the pervious rape. Sorry this is long and for disagreeing but Mc was a child when he stood by (not bullying) and made that mistake. Ml is an adult and i definitely blame him. Trauma may be a reason to do a bad thing but should never be an excuse. Sorry again though because this is fiction.
