Don't be Fooled by the cover, MC doesn't has any girl for too long by his side, also the image seems clickbait for some romance. MC is Overgeared Incarnate and knows to keep a balance between personal interests and other's profits IF the right price is given or maintaining good relations with other races. Moreover, MC is quite late, there are stronger Rankers some really strong and some others become pretty relevant. MC does acts like a scammer, but when required is a dependable ally ( imagine FFF- class Trash Hero MC but without swearing or being too cruel) A pretty Chill type dude, but one who can hold a grudge or gratefulness pretty well. (Like the Goddess who aided him or that two faced saint former gamer guy who targeted MC in the later chps) No love routes yet, just pure action and farming items. He's another hoarder and there's more to the game system which MC has yet to uncover.

Honestly, FL should either kill him or herself since she isn't that strong as shttyhead. (Shathead > ML) Seeing the cover, I don't think she can kill shttyhead, more like ending in a romantic manner. It still doesn't give a sorry sense of an excuse to bully, torture, isolate and treat her existence like some kind of an obedient mutt. For real, she can just marry Artemia or whoever that girl was and I would cheer on for them cuz when relationships become too heavy, it's best to let go. #FawningForFavian (JusTice that he DeServEd) and shthead just doesn't has the Authority to possess a person who loves him more than herself, I felt sorry but she doesn't need to announce that she wants to do something. Like gurl, the meaning of Love is innocent, cheerful, doing things u love, proper balance and pure for u, but different for others. Wishing her mom could have told her to live for HerSelf, NoT just to Survive.
Their PoV about Luv was already twisted by the time they realised it, Shtty should had given her some personal space & let her outside (well, that's why she's an animal in his EyEs, not a human being) or have a proper discussion about improvising their bonds. Also, better to cut off the roots by putting the Mother botchy in a dark place for days together with torturing her such that she's blindfolded in a dark room, tied up to a bed with occasional water torture dripping on her forehead (replace that with icy water instead of normal one), bang different objects with higher pitch noises, the more noise she makes from her thorat, the louder the pitch of the objects, switch to icy water torture, switch to alternate and random days and nights when she lest expects it, with some breaks for a short time to not let her die.
A shame truly. This had potential to be dark in the sense that humans change and not even love remains for long. Favian as an ML would have just let her freely in another world and MC could continue painting without Fear or coercion from others. Even as a commoner, she could live a happier life than a rich Empress with depression and suicidal thoughts. Or best, kill that Shtty when she learnt some self defence and more combat styles.

Don't know if this is good later on, but maybe it could have had a GL route. Cuz why not? Maybe there could be something which could help detect the disease Ophelia was suffering from and would help with the cure, even if it was unknown. And they just have a sweet home at some scenic place, away from the hustle and bustle of gossip mongrels and royalties and get to live at a nice countryside with no discrimination about marriage.
I sometimes wonder if there could be normal endings as well instead of happy or bad endings in these kinds of plots, like fl continuing her commoner life and visiting her foster parents in between and the ml treating her as a friend, while the other two get a bad ending themselves in unexpected ways. This plot isn't exactly hopeless, but a bit more background would have made it fulfilling.
