I don't think the dad is that bad, but those early years are so important for bonding and learning how to parent, and being absent means you really have to work to make up for lost time. It would be a messy situation whenever co-parenting is involved, navigating everyone's feelings. I have a lot of empathy for the adults and kids in these situations, but the kids should always be centered.

This sensei made some tropetastic mangas, but I do love the notes mocking their own characters, and the dramatic poses are always amazing. I appreciate that they have a sense of humor about themself.
