
I don't think the dad is that bad, but those early years are so important for bonding and learning how to parent, and being absent means you really have to work to make up for lost time. It would be a messy situation whenever co-parenting is involved, navigating everyone's feelings. I have a lot of empathy for the adults and kids in these situations, but the kids should always be centered.
So sometimes to check out if a story is worth reading, I pick a random chapter to see the vibes. I picked the most recent chap at this point, 7. I get the impression that I could have picked any chapter and received the same answer. ( .____.)
