I wish there was a side story of the brother after escaping, training to become as strong as his sister to help her fight for the seat. Two siblings far away in distance, but still fighting to keep the other safe. Shame to almost have him written out of the story.

I think we all know little cute spirit and the castle spirit (most likely the boy king) are connected or the same being. My little theory is that the tiny spirit has been enhancing ijae objects. Like the spirit chewing on one of the beads in ch. 27. Or him being encased in the handkerchiefs in 30. And the reason he can't help more is because not only that chest being damaged disrupts his power (his form as well), there's only so much he can interfere in the land of the living.
But that's just a theory ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ok let's be honest, the boss is such a good person. He encouraged taemans relationship and is always in his corner. I mean boss even fought Taemans mom for him. I honestly think the boss cares way more for taeman than his own mother does.
I don't think he gets enough credit for just being a good friend and person overall.
Everytime a new character appears by Haruki I get instants dread. The readers are getting more traumatized than the MC
Honestly I love how they get along and work together, but it doesn't feel like a romantic relationship. I mean they knew each other for 4 years, are currently engaged but I can barely tell the difference in the relationship. They only spend time together working, except for maybe one time and there hasn't even been a kiss scene.
At this point it would have made more sense to either put more eggs in the romance basket, or let them remain close friends, the romance just feels flat.

I really like him. He's such a breath of fresh air from the incompetent and evil rulers in stories like these. I honestly hope that he lives longer. I want to see more of him in general.

It does seem that way. I lost a bunch of manga this year that didn’t really end in any satisfying and conclusive way. It was the same as this one, with me going, “well that came out of nowhere”. Example- daughter of the spirit king.

As much as I love this story, I feel like the art doesn't match. Especially in the fight scenes, it doesn't feel like it has that weight it should carry. It's a shame honestly..
