try "the magic soup" if you haven't read it, it's also shonen-ai fantasy and has a similar dynamic between characters. and it's super pretty too.
i think "sleeping in my book" is also kinda similar, with demonic creature from a parallel world who comes to seek revenge on MC but then they become closer the more time they spend together... just beware with that one, even tho it has funny moments it's darker overall - also hasn't been updated in a while :(
