I was thinking that as well until I realized that Serenia is actually a fictional character from a novel world just a different genre, while the MC is from the real world and has entered a novel. So, their situations are quite different, one is from the real world while the other is from a fictional novel.

Yeah, it's not that far off, she can just think of it as both coming from different worlds. I guess MC was disappointed they're not both from earth and I can see that she doesn't seem to completely trust Serenia.
