Tbh I also hated this rape scene (it showed just too much details) but it’s better than having a rape scene being played down like it’s nothing....
from plot it still was pointless rape, it was a bullshit reason for the plot. and they didn't need to be so graphic about it like we enjoy watching all those details.

This genre is my shit. I love these period pieces with court politics, etc and the art is GORGEOUS. It has great costume porn and I could honestly read it forever. I just love Joel. He's very sexy to me and I think it's definitely the eyes. He looks good without a beard but I love the beard! This might be an unpopular opinion as well but I also love to see some pubic hair in my BL, lol.
