The sudden switch ups in the characters behaviours are so unnatural??? Like he just nearly drowned him and saed him again the last chapter ended with the knife on Erik's throat and they are suddenly horny for one another, and everythings ok ???? Then the thing that disturbed him the most is the bdsm gear ???? Not the thought that you were waterboarded !????? The fuck ?
I'm so disappointed with this chapter, I really hoped it would be more like he would really have treated him with grace, dignity and all according to his wishes. Like he would dote on him, share their love of music, and the story would've show that the og lover was more of a surface level love and they, cause Erik is disfigured, would've built genuine connection. I thought he would have just asked him to stay for 5 days, but the sudden waterboarding? The sa again... Like I hoped for so much more, I really wanted this time for Chris(tine) to end up with the Phantom and got so disappointed...

Like I was hoping for an honest talk between them about their boundaries and how and why she felt hurt, cause honestly they really rushed into the whole play, and a sweet ending for that night would've been an honest all night long talk between them

How could this story ever be considered good? It's just another abuse, rape-filled omegaverse like most others. Poor omega raped and used continuously threatened, blackmailing alpha and we're supposed to root for this relationship? It's just disgusting no thanks
this looks like badly photoshopped anime style art, like the white out eyes where you can see the brush strokes, the constantly changing artstyle, the weird font/typeset
It just looks like some "passion project" of one person
I love it, adore the story, grew up with it.
The relationships and characters matured as the time passed, the story became more grounded and healthier, the arguments - more believable, the motivations and goals - realistic.
But
The begining definitely needs a rewriting. From time to time I'll come back and re-read this manga, and you can see that at first the manga was only supposed to be a short about 6 chapters one volume piece but then it grew. You can see a lot of the typical toxic/worrying yaoi tropes in the beginning, from the weird age gap - I know it's "not that big" but there was no reason that it shouldn't have been set in collage instead of highschool.
The beginning of the relationship feels so rushed, but it's most probably due to the aforementioned set up of being just an one volume story.
The weird behaviour of Hazuki towards Naoto where he was angry at him, and being all pissed AT HIM for not sharing his trauma right then and there, I get it you want to help your partner - but to be angry at him instead of consoling him and working it out at his pace was really typical of the early bl.
Regardless you can see that the author matured with the manga, started treating the characters more like actual people rather than comical protagonists fit for melodramatic bl. It is seen through the inclusion in the rest of the story of more thought out characters like Shizuku's friends the teacher pair, and completely forgetting the immature drama inducing ones - like the girl that was the "pair" of Hazuki's at the beginning.
Also the world building around the main pair of Naoto and Hazuki. The fleshing out of seemingly background characters. I loved the side story of Shixuku and her crush and friend the mature way of showing a situation similar to Naotos - of a young omega boy ostricized just for his second gender, and what would've happened if Naoto had a support system of good people around.
You can feel and see the maturing and well rounding of characters throughout the pages, that they actually grow up and despite the occasional fight, which is now resolved a lot more realistically and healthily, stand tall as a beautiful family.
