cHAP 40: Basically, the third -wheel high school friend of the uke sets them up to make them have a fight... He succeeeds in keeping the mc from watching the show by having him treat his burned hand in the infirmary, then while the mc is with his back to the door and hasn't realized yet that his boyfriend has come, he says something about missing the mc because they haven't been hanging out as much as before and uses that to hug him in front of the boyfriend. The silver-haired boyfriend of course gets mad and violently pushes the friend away from the uke, and the uke of course misunderstands the action and reacts by trying to protect his "friend" from his lover's "violent bout of jealousy".
The boyfriend grabs the mc's hand and drags him out of the room, where he tells him the other dude was hugging him in a "more than friendly" way and asks the mc why he didn't try to push the "friend" away. He asks the mc to leave with him but the mc says he needs to stay and help his wounded friend. The boyfriend asks him to choose. The mc thinks of everything he owes his friend for being the only friend who was still there for him while everyone else had turned against him, back in high school, so he guiltily insists that he can't just leave his injured friend like this. The boyfriend leaves in disappointment and anger and from then on he doesn't pick up the phone when the mc tries to call him, making the mc feel completely miserable.
