I'm cool that Taichi and Futaba broke up but I totes wanted Touma to have an amazing boyfriend that wasn't Taichi. Friends suited them better, according to me. I wanted to see Taichi with his wife and kids enjoying with Touma and his husband/boyfriend in a picnic or something. I would have loved that. This ending seemed sort of anticlimactic. Also, I'm sorely disappointed with Masumi's ending. She was written as a lesbian character but then she goes and marries a man. I would have been cool with it had there been even a slight sign of her being bi. Oh well, this isn't my story. If author decided it this way, so be it. I loved the manga regardless.

Crown Prince: I will find someone who will benefit our political nation the most. Therefore, appearance and personality don't matter.
Marie's existance: I'm going to end this man's entire career!

Actually, you are both right in a sense that currently, our FL is still Marie, the maid meaning that Rael will have a really, really difficult time deciding whether to follow his heart or abandoning love for country—for now, he is frustrated since he isn’t quite sure what he feels yet but once he receives an epiphany—I predict it would be during the crown princess selection—he will have to weigh in what to “sacrifice”.
However, we, readers know that Marie is Princess Morina but aside from this identity, Marie being called “Angel” will also be a reputation Rael can take advantage in order to reason out taking Marie as his queen. One can say it is 1+0=1 but then, once her true identity is revealed, it would be 1+1=3. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I'm so happy for her!
