This was good and I really liked the seme UNTIL chapter 6 which changed my whole perspective on him and the story. He seems like the type to cheat if he is given the chance. And the love story turned to utter shit because of that chapter

It was weird but not really.... taking into consideration that he waited 13 years for the uke to become an adult and everything that happened was consensual, I really can't judge. I think it is completely fine in this instance and the love they both had for each other were honestly really pure and cute. The thing I found weird was the parents reaction to the seme when he asked for their permission to their child's hand like how were they so calm lol?!?!?!
I feel like the whole setting was actually more like old Japan regime time when men would have to go to parents to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage.
It was common to propose when they were still of young age and wait to take their hands after coming of age.
The second couple was so lovable. I wanted more of them honestly ╥﹏╥. Anywho lol the mother was on another level... she wasn't bothered by any of it and her reactions were pretty hilarious.

Damn just finished this in three days and I really don't know how to feel. I loved it but also hated it.... I don't like some of the couples in this bc .... well I'm just not feeling it. Some of the relationships feel so shallow.... like with Kureno and Uo (I found the whole Kureno x Akira dynamic really weird and wished Kureno could leave and heal by himself. I didn't want Uo to get hurt by all of this either. I did not like the love at first sight thing they both had going on and her waiting for him. I just didn't like both of them together. In fact, I hated it.) or Hatori and mayuko (I found this relationship really pathetic honestly... ). Also the shigure and akira ship.... I was fine until I realized that he slept with her MOTHER to get back at her for sleeping with Kureno like wtf that's so messy and very disturbing. There's no way in hell that I would ever ship these two together. Favorite was definitely Haru x Rin (they were awesome) and Kyo x tohru (cuties). I'm just saying not everyone needed to get with someone to be "happy" and it would have made this whole series more enjoyable to me.
Also Akira needs to pay for what she did...I really don't like how they resolved it with her. The woman literally tried to kill Rin not once but twice, abused all of the zodiacs (even the little kids which I found absolutely disturbing that a grown woman like that could beat little kids up enough for them to end up in the hospital... like why is no one saying anything about that), tried to kill Kureno, etc. I'm with Rin on this one ... Akira got off too easy and shouldn't have been forgiven like that no matter what she went through.
The one thing I liked in this and which was very well done was the character development for mostly all of characters.
Way too forgiving for all the abusers/attempt murderers.
IKR I was so pissed off she needs to pay for what she did.
Why would anyone in its right mind embrace a dangerous toxic felon (that person stabbed your beloved mortally!) and says something I know you ve been through lot or it must have hurt... SERIOUSLY???!!!
And I remember the last episode of first anime adaptation where the MC lets her herself gets screamed, mistreated and manhandled/beaten by a male Akira to calm him down/reform him with her purity, innocent and empathy...

Sometimes or more often I think that shoujo mangas can sending the wrong toxic message... The FL always has to be pure and virtuous enough to change the shitty ML and scum antagonists... And she has to endure lots of ABUSE...Σ( ￣□￣||)
I agree with you how shoujo mangas always give off the wrong messages. It's always the women characters who are abused & mistreated and yet they have to be forgiving and with all purity help all around her.
Like stop, please. It sends the wrong message to girls especially teenage girls who will think it's okay when their boyfriends mistreat them.
The last update I read was almost a year ago bc I'm waiting for this to finish (yes I realize it might take another 2 or 3 years but I'm still going to wait bc the pace of these updates are stressing me out) but every month or so I come back here and read the comments just to get an idea of where were are at... I can't believe this arc isn't over yet... thank the lord that I decided to wait bc I could never have the patience for this
