Wanna know the difference between Sangwoo and Bum's uncle? Sangwoo is an abuser who had been abused -- someone else messed his fucking life. While Bum's uncle messed his "own" fucking life. I guess that itself gives a lot of dimension to his character.

And if some of you 'really' have experienced abuse, then tell me, if what Sangwoo experienced isn't the same as yours? Aren't you guys supposed to understand him more than us who had gone through a normal childhood? You guys are the same 'kind' as him, except he didn't survive it.

His childhood has scarred him permanently and he's forever going to be that little boy who can't get over his mother's death.

But despite this, whatever you feel toward him is still your own problem to deal.

It's not certain what happen to him during his childhood. It's not enough for me to empathize him. Besides, his actions seem to be his own, while Sangwoo he has that 'voices' and 'hallucinations' that controls him. He's in a whole lot different level than that uncle.

You don't have to feel sorry for him, in fact, you should feel lucky you survive it. He is just the unlucky one. But it depends on you what to feel about him. I'm not forcing you to acknowledge his pain. Everyone have their own level of empathy. And my level of empathy told me to help this kind of person instead of only antagonizing them and lumping them together with other criminals. It opens my eyes how this isn't entirely their fault. Maybe that's why I'm going to major in psychology -- to study criminal's mind.

Really? Bum's uncle seems to be really in pain about his past, so just because someone is shown to be more crazy than the other, he shouldn't be empathized?

I agree about the difference between Sangwoo and Bum's Uncle, although i haven't been through the same abuse as Sangwoo. There are similarity's, only i came out of it stronger (it took along time) and it doesn't happen straight away. Sangwoo went the other way! when your hiding away for long periods of time, watching his mother being beaten and him too, walking around terrified or even just sitting there scared to breath wrong (you'd be surprised what goes through your head) It can drive you insane....... ????????? It changes people, sometimes their stronger and sometimes it'll drive you to go to extremes. Which is whats happened in Sangwoo case

Just imagine Everyone, a small kid going through all that? alone. He would of had hopes, dreams and all the time preying for something to change or someone to help........... for it to be smashed to pieces (everyday it never changes). It's like your stuck on a constant cycle, with no change in the outcome. Then one day it all get's too much........... all that hurt, all that anger, all that hate, JUST COMES PILLING OUT (and where will it go?) I made it through (but, all that hurt, pain and suffering "i'll never be completely free from it).

Well, I never said that "I" excuse their wrongdoings. They still need to be held for their actions. And while they are doing their time in prison, I'll be more than willing to help them to return back to normal. To make them realize that what they were doing are 'wrong' in the society. Is that considered bad?
