I just want to vent about a pet peeve of mine I've grown to have over the years of reading Shoujo romance. I am soooo bored of the "oh he's so cool, but I'm so boring" trope in these stories. There's so many interesting and nuanced takes that have been done even in just the past decade that whenever I come across this same old trope that was already tired out by the Y2K I can't even feel anything but disdain. The characters already feel like the defaults in a Shoujo romance character builder, down to hair color and all, that more of this same old-same old is tiring. I'll probably drop it at this point.

Not saying that anyone that likes it is wrong or has boring taste; I've just seen it too many times personally and I'm not the same girl I was when I first got into Shoujo manga, so goes to reason my taste evolved past these trodden paths.

Anyways I'm just yapping, tldr is I'm DNFing.
