I would much rather see some sort of a build up and a prolonged sense of tension between Lorenzo and Rian. I mean I wanted them to want each other SO badly they start to go crazy and then something happens. But oh well, that’s probably too much to ask
Judging from the comments I’m in the minority but I really wish they would’t fuck next chapter: A) Rian is clearly drugged and that just feels super iffy B) it would break the little game the two of them are playing. Rian realized Lorenzo is attracted to him and is now using that to his advantage to get information, so it’s like tug of war between them right now.
I honestly don't think Lorenzo will do anything to him next chapter because I feel like yeah it's a game their playing and Enzo would have fun knowing that Uno is in a hopeless state that he can't control and I feel like Enzo would want their first time to be meaningful which contrasts to Uno's looseness to sleeping with whoever just for fun, but yeah hoping that nothing between them happens !! Hate the drugged drink trope too! I want to sleep together but NOT LIKE THIS !!

It seems like it is, so that would mean the main couple won’t meet until then. Also how consensual is the drug testing on the ml? I think chapter 48 is what happened before that chapter where ml have seggs with the mc but his dad told him that it was a different omega, so this basically means mc might be the real omega the mc have seggs with during his rut in the earlier chapter, yes it's a bit confusing because of the timeline or the way author-nim presents the story

But you know what’s funny, Dan also has a really sad backstory yet somehow he doesn’t act like a total piece of trash. Why is it that only the tops get an automatic pass just because they had a rough childhood. This plot line is sooo tired, please just let it die.

Like he knows exactly how terrible it feels to struggle financially and be looked down on for it, yet he humiliates and downgrades Kim Dan every chance he gets. In my opinion his backstory didn’t do what the author was intending to do, because now I just hate him more. (Didn’t know it was possible lol)

If you don't want to read it, the fuck off. Also, it's 'proved', bot 'proofed'. If you've got time to judge a manhwa, then go and learn English. Nobody's forcing you to read this, and you're reading this on your own. People like you love black flags like Zhenya but then hate characters like Jaekyung. If you don't like the backstory or the manhwa, then respectfully fuck off, because there are many others to genuinely love the whole plot.

Also, I personally must disagree and say that his backstory DID explain why he acts the way he does.
He never experienced love and affection, therefore he doesn’t fully know what it is and how to express it- let alone emotions overall, except anger, due to his violent childhood and literally having committed his life to violence (his career). It also showed that his sex partners were never serious and he’d never before been in love, meaning this is first time.
Having always lived one way his whole life without anyone interfering/guiding/changing him, then all of a sudden a cog (dan) is thrown in the loop and is making him experience different things (he took a break for once and relaxed instead of feeling like he had to keep on working hard) which is all new to him. Although it doesn’t excuse his actions, it really explains his actions and character.
Have your own opinions sure, just saying perhaps the authors intentions were for people to have a deeper understanding rather than a shallow one of literally just reading what’s in front of your eyes. (Not meant in a rude way).
Also, although technically irrelevant (and I mean this generally) but how come so many people he hating HARD on Jae kyung when there’re so many worse tops and characters in other manhwas, and what jk does is 100% better? Like let’s not forget Dan agreed to the contract of being a sex partner… bro wasn’t abused or anything either…like…

Well I’m not saying I hate the whole manhwa, honestly I’d say it’s a love-hate relationship. I really like the art style, the professional sports setting and Dan and his grandma. I do realize they’re gonna end up together but I’m hoping Dan gets a way better version of Jaekyung than the one right now. I hope he genuinely apologizes and acknowledges what he did wrong (therapy even? lol I know that’s not even in the realm of possibility). When I started reading this I thought it was gonna take a different route and now I just wanna see how it all ends up. I agree that the backstory is an explanation for the way Jaekyung acts. You might be right about the authors intentions, I’m glad we got to see Jaekyung as a child it’s just the backstory seemed too long for me.
To answer your question ( this is purely a speculation ): Jinx is a very popular manhwa, the art is beautiful and really well done. Many people maybe didn’t even read the stories with the absolutely diabolical tops, but if they did the tops were just too far gone absolute piece of shit assholes (so it’s less worth talking about and there is no potential). Jaekyung on the other hand had some potential to actually do better/be better. At least for me that’s the thing, he wasn’t too far gone and the possibility was there. Maybe for some people still is there, cause you can see he has some humanity, unlike the other black flag tops. So it’s just worth talking about more. Also let’s be honest Jinx is a very popular hate read lol.

Honestly I do really enjoy seeing other people understand (or at least attempt to) a manhwa as much as I do and view it from different perspectives instead of packing on negativity and negativity. And I 100% get where you’re coming from cause I don’t like jk’s past actions as well and do agree that perhaps the author could’ve lead the story a different way, but it’s fine as is (as a person who’s read manhwas/gas/huda for yearss now).
