I know he's a good guy but his trashy attitude irritates me

No it isn't. They are still a new couple so they have to learn together on how each other work bc in this case divorce isn't an answer and they both struggle with talking. They both are learning to care about each other so give it time. It's only chapter 19, it's still really early and progress takes time. Also, I heard that in the novel, around chapter 90 is when things start actually changing. Namely her talking about her traumas.

I agree that it's only the beginning of their couple and obviously, their communication will improve with time (with Riftan gone for so long and no way to communicate due to long-distance, it wasn't easy for both of them). I'm really anticipating how Maxi will open up slowly but it's still sad that after gaining some confidence she probably will have a (small?) relapse of anxiety TT^TT
I still love them so much, they're both cuties to protect IMO.

I'm sure the ending is gonna break my heart, cuz i really wish there's a bit of goodness in Dion and Jeremy...guess not

In the original, Jeremy was obsessed with the FL of the novel, but in this life he won't be. He loves his sister dearly, so after they bring their father down (the whole family, or better said their children) Roxanna didn't have anywhere to go and she didn't want to stay in the family no longer. That is when she wanted to kill herself and our ML jumps in and tells her if she doesn't want her life anymore, she should just give it to him (and that is kinda a confession) so she will live as long as he tells her too. Jeremy was so sad for her sister so he started rebuilding the family and giving Roxanne a place to return to if she ever wants. As for Dion, he kinda disappears after that accident (but don't quote me on that cause I'm not sure). Also you can see all the other spoilers here https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/the-way-to-protect-the-female-leads-older-brother-%EC%97%AC%EC%A3%BC%EC%9D%B8%EA%B3%B5%EC%9D%98-%EC%98%A4%EB%B9%A0%EB%A5%BC-%EC%A7%80%ED%82%A4%EB%8A%94-%EB%B0%A9%EB%B2%95.120098/
I can't understand those who sympathize with Helena!!! Yes her life is hard but she chose the easy and the wrong way to fight
"the easy"
Well what do you want her to do, she is just a maid and has litterally no power
pls what did she even do
did she kill someone like the other rivals in manhwas? did she frame someone? is she two faced? is she deliberately trying to ruin mc? No, she's literally just trying to survive.
she didn't stop the ml that one time he slapped a girl who has bullied her (but really wasn't her cuz this is how those stories work)
at most this is a "uhhhh, u could have stoped him" moment
its unlikely for her to stand up for anyone when she cant stand up for herself. og eris locked her up for hours, bullied and tormented her to the point of lingering trauma and yet, helena never stood up for herself :/
which is why i mentioned the bullying part
I hate Oniiiiiiiiii-chan type of girls, the weakling ones who can't stood up for themselves and always making like it's the destiny's fault, the good-for-nothing ones who can't save themselves because as weak WOMEN they need a man to save them
This type of FM makes me feel trashy for being a woman. We all have problems but we're not as pretty as they are to have a prince charming saving us because all u need to be saved is beauty
If those types of characters can make you feel bad for your gender/sex then i think that there is a deeper cause there.
Well regardless if Helena was a female or male she still can't go against anyone, she has no support and is as lonely as eris since all the "love" she receives is superficial since no one is really questionning her well-being
Oh no! There's no other reason, I'm just ashamed of them
At least Eris speaks out!
You sure, thinking like that usually requires someone to have some other kind of underlying problem.
Hmm sounds like unresolved internalised misogyny to me
Eris is a noble and the fiancee of the crown prince, even though she can't go against her father and the emperor she has a status that gives her power, so it's "easier" for her to go against those she despise such as the crown prince or the knight with red hair, Helena is a maid, they don't let her have a voice for herself, even if she says no they don't care, the only thing that distinguish her from other maids is that she is beautiful and thats sad all she can do is follow the orders, poor girl is being used and her feelings are not taken into account, she never said she wanted all of that intention, she is being forced into this since she is just a mere maid she doesnt have a say
The reason why Eris is hated by people in the story is simply because she can voice her own opinions. Whereas, Helena is loved because she is being treated as a doll, sitting still, looking pretty and she puts up with their tantrums and they feel superior to her. (But this love is superficial they don't really care about her, they just like her innocent look and easy to take advantage of cuz she is a commoner). "She should have stopped the ml that slapped MC" EXCUSE ME? Maid who has no power whatsoever stopping the crown prince with a trashy personality? You think the a boy like the cp is gonna take that positively? No. Things could've been far worse for Eris or else. Moreover if you see, chapter 15 last panel, she genuinely apologizes for not stopping the cp from slapping her and correcting her mistakes. And MC herself says that the one to apologize shouldn't be her(Helena) but that bish(cp).
