( ̄∇ ̄") A common behavior from audience these days is to "expect" that a lot of things happen, and by broken expectation, getting frustrated about "what it could have been", mind the genre and tags, this is a dark fiction with focus on smut, it will hardly show any world building or amazing plot twists, we know this even from chapters ago where one who tried to escape kept having lustful feelings about the king, it's unrealistic fiction and it is supposed to be as such.
Always read resumes, tags and genres, and if it doesn't fill your cup of tea, drop it away!! ╥﹏╥ there were signals all around for this one even on first chapters, 10 world building to 90 smut oh scale Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ HAHAHA some of them just go "hmm titis? Huge, pepe? Gigantic, Pretty privileges? Even bigger" "what about the message you want to give the audience?" "What message?"
And sometimes even when there are a writer and a artist separately, they just share the same braincell, "toxic? A lot!, toungue? As red as watermelon"

The genre and tag in this doesn’t mean anything specific. You can trade yaoi for shouj and josei and the impact would be the same

They do!! And it can help you already infer a tiny bit before even reading chapter one (=・ω・=) As an example, if it was Shoujo, it would very rarely and I dare to say would not have explicit sex scenes between two men, if it was a shounen ai, you would have the relationship, but no explicit scenes either, and if it was Josei, you could prepare for a man and a woman, rather than two man; Forward the "adult" genre refers to not only media that is not meant for children teens or even young adults, but people who can actually have a comprehension and differ reality from fiction, since the fiction will probably depict sensitive things or topics; In this site specifically, one of the top tags is "possessive lover", and by that you can understand that it is a sensitive story happening at a historical focused point of a possessive man and his lover, also a man. As a plus, without the "tragedy" tag you can also think there will be no major character death that is intended to be sad or grieved, and by the comments which are of huge help in this site, you can see some who resume a bit of it, and include things such as "is the couple toxic? is it a dark story? does it have plot twists?" ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It is important that people have safe readings, and do not get in contact with fictions they do not appreciate!! :D

I know what the genres normally infer. I’m saying that the ones used in this one specifically didn’t give a single hint about the turn this story took. I read multiple stories with these tags that do not take this turn.

( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ ahh not sure if my last reply got posted because of browser issues, but in resume, tags and comments also help a lot, and in case the story is advertising something way less problematic than the story really is, then the issue is on the marketing of that media, altho it can just sum up to different experiences, as I myself have also read pieces that have even less genres specified and took a worse turn, tagging and summary varies from site to site, and this one (mangago), the best way to keep track of these is not ONLY looking at genres, but tags and comments as well!! (=・ω・=)

It’s all good, I do know how to spot stories. I had a feeling it would have dark traits from the cover alone but I expected it to be the kind of dark I’m into. Instead, it turned into the kind I despise and unfortunately, when I stay for the kind I despise, it’s always in hopes to see the abuser suffer. I learned from a yaoi I was reading where the ML actually tried to kill himself and yet still ended up being a Stockholm Syndrome character that the author was just using him as a tool to express how much she hated her ex. Didn’t realize writers could do this to their character because that’s not how I treat the characters I create at all. So now I’m just looking for ann author who can give me what I want, which is the abuser’s suffering. I wish I was into creating mangas because I’d definitely make that happen. Like adding a new twist to already made stories. It would be fun.

I’m not reading this anymore though because to learn that the ML is now begging for a man who slaughtered his loved ones and continuously r*pes him mercilessly is just sad and disappointing .

╥﹏╥ Thank you so so much for volume 16!!! I was so excited for this one!!!!

I felt such a huge curiosity at the beginning and I was rooting for the "initial" couple, but as the story kept going, I just felt like the blue haired guy was just...unrerdemable? And I don't mind toxic couples or even dark romance etc etc, but this one just doesn't have the vibe, main guy is a cutie with goals and a dream, he was pulled into a mess and he is just suffering trough it, no enjoyment, no rewards, until he meets the gym dude and seem to genuinely be happy to finally have a friend and start a new routine, and having time to follow his goals...

But As it keeps going, I just have this feeling he is not gonna date the gym guy, but will go back with the blue haired guy from the start...and that is just...weird? The blue haired guy is so broken and unsupportive, it truly makes me wish that was not the ending I feel like it's gonna happen (⊙…⊙ )

Anyway, I love the MC, he is cute, funny, and has a really nice personality, sadly he was doomed by that superiority complex bastard (︶︿︶)=凸 and gym dude, you won in my heart

Thank you so much for the people picking this manga up and giving their shot translating, I loved the whole idea of the story and the basis is unique with enjoyable characters!! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I still can't believe after all this time how modern the dragon's human form looks, that one western soldier the guy killed slayed I fear ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Sometimes I come back on this one just to re-read the second couple again, they be toxickin' in the right amount, wish they had 30 more chapters and a dramatic break up then a cliche comeback, thanks (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Read again the first manga and this adds something nice to Aoba's character, I do think in first manga he is purposely written a tiny villanous so it pushes you further into the main couple, but in a bigger picture, he never understood his own feelings neither Miki's ( ̄∇ ̄")

He was confused but nonetheless he is Miki's friend, he likes Miki's presence and felt lonely when he wasn't there, he tried dating other people to see if the feeling was similar but nothing really sparkled like Miki for Aoba ╥﹏╥ he thought "It must be love, but I don't want to possibly part ways with Miki if we make it official and later break up" so he tried to keep close to Miki, and thus making him manipulate Miki's feelings, feeding them when it was convenient so he would always have Miki by his side without the responsability that cane with dating and Miki's feelings and then everything BOOM happens and he respects that Miki moved on and found someone who can love him and reciprocate his feelings (≧∀≦)

And Aoba was left, well, lonely, because he wasn't Miki's number one anymore, obviously now he could have started this friendship/fake relationship with the dude (bless his soul he is my baby) out of convenience to get out of the loneliness Miki's fault made him feel, but at last, he found some love, and that is pretty nice, sincere opinion, Watarun is a nice guy, and I like him plenty, it is infuriating to think he manipulated others to not feel bad himself, but it is a dramatic fiction, and I think he realized it soon enough, and he is very different from first manga, reality check hit like a truck (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ love you Watarun!!! Blessings

    CLICHÉ January 14, 2025 12:07 am

Also I think Aoba never really romantically loved Miki or anyone but Yugo, and that makes it pretty cute to me ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ first love first love first lov
