If Skyler had properly confessed his feelings to Cirrus and Cirrus still doubted him then I would understand your line of reasoning. But Skyler has never confessed his feelings. All he said was “let’s date”. Even a normal mentally stable individual would doubt Skyler’s feelings because he never gives Cirrus that direct assurance of “Yes our feelings our mutual”.
