Kael is living the wish Hestia wished for him. He has gotten over his heartbreak and has now found his own happiness, with Her. There are a few full circle moments in the early chapters that show Hestia as a reflection of Kael before

"Kael is dead. To me who somehow continues to live in this world, you were my only hope" Hestia's first words in this story. Getting revenge for Karl is her only reason to live even with all the changes to the story and her relationship with Kael, the foundation of her existence in this world is Revenge for Kael. I am loving this development because it's Kael's dynamic with Diana in the beginning. He was a character written as a part of Diana's development in the story and was ultimately discarded also as part of her and Helios' relationship development. When I'm off work and have a functional brain I'm going to do a whole breakdown on this because it's awesome writing and story development
omg thats such a good point, I didnt even think about that. the fact that she bases her whole existence off of kael's revenge mirrors kael's existence as a second male lead- shes experiencing what he was going through when he was cast aside by diana and helios:(( it sucks that kael is the one who inadvertently did this to her but its a good thing hes still there with her to stop her from doing anything drastic like kael did in their previous lives

Him and revenge for him is her entire purpose in this world. She is a reader who knows how deeply Kael loved Diana and therefore how deep the betrayal was. Hestia still operates under the belief that this is a story world and in the story Kael would do anything for Diana. Him saying he doesn't want Diana dethroned to Hestia feels like her purpose is gone and Kael still loves Diana. Her reason for living is gone. Just like in the original story Kael lived for Diana's happiness and would do anything for her and once abandoned by her he lost his will to live, Hestia also lives for Kael's happiness and would do anything for him. She feels no reason to live if she can not fulfill that purpose. She doesn't truly see herself as a person in this world rather as a tool to bring about vengeance for Kael and if he no longer needs her that means she's a useless tool that needs to be discarded. Hestia has never truly felt like a part of this world so her self esteem is very easy to shake when she believes she can no longer fulfill her only purpose.
And pretty sure she's depressed af. Thr only reason she's even functioning is because of Kaelus

I really wanted him to walk in on them. I wanted Mincheol to be haunted by the sound of her cheeks getting clapped. I wanted him to never close his eyes again without seeing her bent over, tears of pleasure streaming down her face, voice hoarse and ladden with longing. I wanted his eyes to water from the odor of latex and back shots thick in the air .

"she came here because she was abused so please understand" so another child must just get severely abused just because the bully was also abused. I absolutely hate this kind of logic especially from an adult to a child. Do your job as a caregiver and protect the children, if one child can not live peacefully with others then do something about that child! Don't expect other children to just suffer and be understanding. All the adults in this story disgust me, I hope the mother isn't too bad but I have a feeling that the brother might need a kidney or something why else would they come back for her after all these years.
