this is awkward… because i remember ml told mc he liked him in the raws but now that the official translation is out that whole sentence is nowhere to be found… which makes this whole convo kind of lacking because sure they are acting like they obviously like each other, but the “i like you” bit was kinda nice

Yeah i was a bit lost. So, apparently what we read as “i like you” was actually ml stating that he’s fond of mc, or at least that’s what i understood
i knew it…. he was taught by his father that giving gifts will make him a good person (or more like the gifts will make it up to the other person) so no wonder he thinks it is a must and gave hayden all that stuff he didn’t even ask for…. and yes, there is actual tension between him and his brother, which i was already expecting given how awkward they are around each other.
that being said, there are quite a few plot points now so i hope the story does not end without them being addressed/resolved. so far, the author has been doing a great job and i’m super hooked! and personally, i would like to see more of hayden’s background story too since right now we’ve only gotten brett’s.

I felt sorry for Brett. Despite everything indicating that Brett loves his brother, this brother doesn't seem to like him that much (or, at least, doesn't understand him).
