The writing was bad, so to say. The conflict wasn't even a conflict, they just refused to communicate properly. The relationship between the bf and Iksoo was shallow, Iksoo wasn't doing anything for the relationship, which just makes me feel bad for the bf.
Like just a few chapters after Dohun has the wet dream, so does Iksoo?? Like huh? Both already have feelings for each other but Iksoo stays with his bf until like the end before the bf ends it because he had enough. The guy is basically mentally and emotionally cheating already. The bf was just getting dragged along, he didn't even do anything wrong but we are still supposed to root for Iksoo? As if.
And they don't even talk it out after the "conflict" is gone, not even a proper confession scene and then it immediately cuts to the ending sex scene.
The author took a great concept and butchered it

thanks for the summary, but I feel like you didn't pick up how creepy bf behavior is? he was aware this guy was probably gay and in love with this very close intimate bff and he constantly tried to get between them and solidify relationship with unsure partner that already has close relationship with someone else.
I don't believe bf deserved anything better tbh

I don't think he was really getting between them, he was just trying to spend some time with his bf. Besides Iksoo was the one who decides to spend less time with Dohun. And even so, imagine you are in a relationship but you notice your partner acting extremely emotionally distant and really, unplatonically close with their best friend?
Even if he was acting insecure, that doesn't mean he should get cheated on?
Dohun didn't even know about his own feelings until those two started dating

The bf was a piece of shit from jump ik su said he wasn't interested and he pushed for it despite his disinterest. He could see every thing that was going on clearly but thought he could manipulate the situation in his favour. Even hoing off the 8 chapters that are up now he knows that they like each other but dont realize it and he's still pushing for a relationship with someone who isnt interested in him.

THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING THAT!! Iām getting put off by these comments lmao. The bf has definitely been trying to manipulate the situation and has definitely realized ik soo has feeling for his friend already. Bf probably thought that ik soo was easy to manipulate since he was just starting to realize he might be (is) gay.

Honestly I've never felt so many conflicting emotions while reading a romance Manhwa as this one.
Well probably because I hate reading manhwas with multiple potential love interests, but that's not the point. The author is good at making the reader feel conflicted about the characters, but the way they write love is very one dimensional? The reason to why they fall in love is so plain, it's a bit obscured. For a lovely show focused Manhwa it lacks in the department of romantic development.

It very repetitive with the "first love" or "hung up on this person because they are the first to make me feel a certain way" concept. And the characters are usually focused on this one aspect of another character, for example how Garnet is kind, and he was the first person to be kind to her. I would've enjoyed a bit more variety. I liked Pearl because she actually went through the unrequited love route, but her feelings for Garnet weren't really explored properly and the sudden romance with Sapphire also took away from her romantic development, they should've at least given them a bit of time or shown more of them. Garnet's feelings felt more refreshing because it wasn't as spontaneous as the rest.
You know what they need? Therapy. Both couples therapy and individual therapy. This could save them honestly
