i wish ed will eventually accept the fact that he did sex work and not be ashamed of it, because there is nothing to be ashamed of. there’s too much stigma regarding sex work, there’s nothing wrong with doing porn. it’s frustrating seeing the people around him be so closed off to the idea and judge him for his decisions.

I agree on both accounts. Like Ed needs to take control of the POV by understanding it was a job actually one of the oldest jobs and not be ashamed.
And even though after the last episode I can sympathize with Chang he choose to create an unpleasant and toxic relationship with Ed. He made his bed and now has to lie in it. His home life wasn’t great but Ed was always on his side. Chang didn’t just push Ed away and act cold. He chained Ed to him and treated him with cruelty and disrespectful, then as a final straw he raped him. This is not something a rational person can just forgive cuz the attacker had a hard life. Ed’s life has been hard but he doesn’t brings others down to feel better.
Hmm, I agree but not entirely! I do think sex workers should in no way shape or form be shamed. It is their choice, and if it is consensual, go for it. However, some people react VERY differently to having sex. It can make some people feel dirty or embarrassed (as opposed to a proud, live-your-life sex worker), and I think those people are valid as well, as they cannot readily change how they naturally feel about sex. that being said, if our character ed is someone who isn't naturally in touch with his sexuality the way a proud porn star would be, and he feels bad about doing porn, then I think that is ok.
I don't think he is the type to ever proudly declare himself a sex-worker (it's just not in him), but I really do think he should stop beating himself up about it, as you said.
