Season 2 ╥﹏╥ I’ve been waiting so long that since it last updated I’ve fully left the school I was going to lol
I held on this long because the original premise was pretty good and I was able to binge read it all until a month ago, but the way that the characters treat each other is so damn infuriating. Stop treating that kid like a slave when he literally doesn’t have a master (to their knowledge) anymore. Stop that toxic bs about having the mc be sheltered from people she has expressed have helped her and she likes when they have no reason to believe they are dangerous. And idc about the mc having no good knowledge of life outside her original role (that’s a non-issue for me) but isn’t it blatantly obvious that she should just object to how they’re treating the other kid because they’ll listen to her. Also Aga is kinda infuriating in general, he’s completely inconsistent about the way he treats people, he’s needlessly antagonistic to characters WE ARE SUPPOSED TO LIKE if they aren’t Mc and because he babies Mc it comes off as super patronising despite supposedly respecting her. Tbh aga is my main reason for dropping this if this issue ever changes in newer chapters maybe I’ll come back but as is I get aggravated by notifications for this instead of hyped.

Does anyone know who the artist is? Because it really reminds me of the art style of ‘beginning after the end’ from before the artist quit (if I remember right it’s because they were being underpaid), and I’m wondering if it’s the same person? If it is the same artist I definitely wanna follow this because their work on beginning after the end was half the reason I even read that whole thing :)
I’m not positive but I think the original artist of TBATE passed away, and that was why the art changed.
I did some googling and it turns out that the artist IS the same (they’re not dead lol I think maybe u got confused with a different manga/manwa?) they posted about working on this on their instagram (fuyuki23)

I mean yeah but like? Why aren’t they at least trying to escape a little bit more? It just doesn’t make much sense to go ‘welp he found us! Guess we battle to the death now!’And immediately change tactics after being pretty damn successful about escaping by hiding until that point
