I've seen a lot of comments claiming that ppl are exaggerating and that jaekyung isn't that bad of a character... are you all serious? You must have been consuming a lot of toxic manhwa to the point that the bar is now even below hell. He has reached end point what else do you want him to do to be a bad character? Comparing him to other red/black flags doesnt make him any better or that now he has finally started to change, he will always remain a grapist.

in jaekyung's own words; "if you waste my time like that last little bitch..dont expect to be sent home safe and sound" threatening, coercion. "hold still before i break your ankle" another threat. kim dan: "am i allowed to say no..?" jk: "no, you're not." and he proceeds to fuck him, pressured yes = no. jk: "so you liked it huh?" kim dan: "that was..just a physiological response." jk: "he's not doing this because he wants to? then what about all those times he cried and blew his load while having sex?" an equalivent to "well they moaned they must've liked it" aka rape language + culture.

I agree. Even though his attitude makes it look terrible, Dan did, in fact, accept the terms and even added his own. I think people forget that Dan did deny the proposal at first. Even going as far as ignoring Jae's calls for a while. It was his situation that led him to accept the terms, not coercion.

Dude, anyone could've offered that type of money. It's coercion when empty promises are made. Jae said "I'll pay extra for sex". There was no coercion. He didn't say he'll pay his debt, he didn't say he'll give him a place to live and stability, he didn't say any of that.
Look up the definition. Because you are not using the word appropriately. You simply echoing others who are also wrong.

"coercion: the act of pressuring, manipulating, threatening, or forcing someone into unwanted sexual activity. Coercion can also be achieved through psychological manipulation, where someone is tricked or pressured into making a decision they wouldn't otherwise make. This can include emotional blackmail, gaslighting, or exploiting vulnerabilities" jaekyung still did that btw! he also literally said "so i guess you dont need that money then?"

That is not the definition. At all. Rape and Coercion are 2 separate definition.
Coercion: "The practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats."
Rape/Sexual Assult: "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."
It shows how a word can lose meaning when use in the wrong context to prove a point. So many words used incorrectly, and for what? You can COERCE someone into having sex, however, if they were being charged, it would not be seen as rape. It would just be Sex by Coercion.
Danny was in fact going to do it. He was just scared since it's his first time. Which is fair. Had Dan told the truth, it would've been a (slightly) different story, but we're here. Using Jaekyung's line isn't the best example since he isn't aware of Dan's situation. After all, the PT position is paying him well (just not enough to take care of the sharks) He's asking a genuine question ("So you don't want the money?"). He wasn't trying to manipulate or anything. He's used to seeing the same pattern where his ex wants money and will definitely do anything for it.

Where did you get that definition? I've never seen it.
Coercion: The practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats.
I digress. Jaekyung's question isn't with malice or strong intent. It is what he's experienced. Everyone flocks to him because he has money. His ex is a decent example; How he was grabbing the money from the floor and running out. Dan literally came back due to circumstances. Had he not been blacklisted, I'm very sure the story would have a different turn.

while rape and coercion are different definitions they CAN be intertwined; if someone is pressured or tricked/manipulater into sex, that is coercion, if someone is not giving genuine consent [without pressure, manipulation, etc] thats rape.

I mean I expected sooyoung to crash out but he's acting way too nonchalant about it I mean does bro know that his ahh was bleeding last night? He doesn't even look mad about it I'm sry but I kind of hate him at this point I mean the dude was the mastermind behind your uncle's business falling apart and you still want him? Yeah yall suit each other

This mf is the same as gyujin if not worse. Gyujin AT LEAST apologized and offered a helping hand, if you think about it the only reason gyujin showed up back to sooyoung's life and tried to SA him was bc this mf jihwan provoked him. Whats funny is that he saved him from SA so that he could SA him himself
I feel like hirano likes kagi kun genuinely but only as a person and he is scared of rejecting him bc of that, I really love the storyline and all but I would have loved it more if hirano naturally and gradually became conscious of kagi and fell in love without you know forcing himself like that 10 second rule but it's so cute and pure so I'll be reading this all the way to the end, be it 10 years
