The second book of this mangaka was my favorite,this one was nice since it was also retelling stories but i noticed the ending of both books are a bit rushed :/ in overall i like this sort of horror manga since not all the stories had a bad ending. The art is great also! A really good read!

The plot is all over the place
Hime is weird, only attached to his past dog & Mao whom he admires. Then here comes Hachi that reminds him of his dog with a similar name. And he grows to care for Hachi but is embarrassed and confused by his feelings and desires.
Mao is in love with Hime. He disappeared in order to test if Hime would miss him and realize he loves Mao or not.
Hachi is in love with Hime but Hime confuses him. So when told to leave, he leaves.
Hachi meets Mao and they commiserate over their love woes and become friendly. It is only later that Hachipivks up that master is Mao and might be his love rival.
During this time Hachi is taken to a bar and meets Young Master (a guy in drag who traps hetro guys) now has a grudge against Hachi and wants to fuck him...and probably with Hachi as the Neko (bottom) to boot.
Hime runs into YM and thinks this means Hachi slept with her.
Hime upset at this gets drunk, Hachi follows to keep an eye on him, Hime jumps Hachi. Hachi tries to push Hime away b/c of confusion and hurt but follows Mao's advice and they make up...at least enough for sex and going home together.
I wonder what happens when Mao realizes that Hachi was talking about Hime? That will be interesting but Mao already mentioned that Hachi would probably be the type that Hime likes.
YM still needs to pop up and by yaoi tropes he will probably end up either with his minion or Mao.

I think? The manga started with a big boom and the art makes for the story a bit. A bit. Because as much as i love good art,a good story is also important
