first of all, if you plan to read this and expect romantic development, it doesn't get there. This story is meant to portray how people are fucked up and do fucked up things to get on top. It's pretty close to how people's minds really work and that was well-written. The author clearly made the characters so that they're goal-driven, they wouldn't just abandon their ambitions and fall in love with each other or something. It's just that I feel kind of sad when a good story is given such a low rating just because it didn't meet the ideal (and most of the time cliché) plot development. I mean from the get-go, there was already no romance in their relationship and I'm actually glad that it didn't turn into the usual falling in love scenario because that would have made it less... dark? realistic? The ending was a little open but overall it was very interesting and kinda reminds you of the harsh reality that not everything has a happy ending. They don't always fall in love.

i swear idk how many times i cried over iwakura i really thought he was gonna die but neumann???? my son I didn't expect him to go like that.... i don't even remember the scene where he possibly got bit? was it shown? and i just love yoshioka so much idk he's amazing i love him
the story has some plot holes even through the ending because how were they able to live peacefully? what if there were some more bokors and got to them? but overall, the story is amazing 10/10 would read again, and if they adapt this into a movie/anime i would definitely watch it

if u watch the live action before knowing the original story, you're so blessed i wish i also watched it like that (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 i mean they live action series is okay... but that wasn't sweet home, that's some weirdass survival series that had sweet home's characters and setting idk it just looked like a whole different story to me, so it was disappointing.... but you should still give it a try it's a cool series if you don't think about the webtoon lmao
