I’m actually really sad for where this is going. I know it was a bit naive, but I kind of wanted things to turn out peacefully. Like, they run away together, or even better, Cho-ah wind up with his first love. I hate how much he’s had to suffer because he 100% has only tried to do the best he could for everyone in the story, no matter how many bad things have happened to him.

I can’t remember if the subject was ever brought up in the story, but it just dawned on me that his final art project is probably the 52 hertz whale. Look it up and someone let me know if you agree. If it is, that is the sweetest thing ever and I’m here for it.

I think I agree, The 52 Hertz Whale is a representation of Dojae and Euntak's love for him since he always felt sad whales in aquarium and similarly for Dojae being alone for so many years before they met. I think he is showcasing his love for Dojae with that painting tell him that now he isn't and doesn't have to alone like the 52 Hertz Whale since he has Euntak now. And how Dojae realise that being different isn't a bad thing. OMG I cried when I realised this. Thank you so much for pointing it out

I’m actually kind of sad that Dojin didn’t invite Dowon to the wedding. I guess it makes since considering how the story has been going, but I’ve just always thought beneath the sibling rivalry, they’ve always been there for each other when it counts, and I would have thought he’d at least want his brother to be there. If nothing else, to rub it in his face that he got to marry Taeju. Lol
I knew it was coming, but I was enjoying watching him stand up for himself, even just a little bit. I hate that every story ends with the abused returning to their abuser out of sympathy because of some grand event, or because the abuser is depressed because they have to *gasp* live with the consequences of their actions. Although I don’t like the idea of someone being stabbed ( I would have preferred he just got one good a** whooping to make him leave the poor guy alone), I do understand wanting to make sure he at least didn’t die. I just wish this could end with a sensible lesson like, “It’s ok to feel bad something happened to someone, but still not get involved with them romantically”, but it won’t. They’ll end up together like this is all normal and acceptable.
reading your comment brought me back to life after the slow death this story was
**sigh**
I also read the novel and I won’t spoil it too much, but . . . Go on and plan the funeral because it all absolutely goes to hell.
I saw someone saying the novel is on wattpad but I couldn't find it (/TДT)/
