I can tell you about his obsession with stones (I don't think the manhwa explained it very clearly) But basically, the MC and all the members of the immortal regiment are called "Mutants" which are people "born" with amplified abilities like strength or intelligence, but they all share a defect which is they will all become obsessed with something. For Dr.seok it's stones, for Major Yang it's trains and in the side stories they revealed Major Lee loves food, as for the ML (thats a spoiler)
Mc also notices something is wrong with the rainbow city government, like they hiding something and he believes the garden of eden knows since their goal is to take down the city because of it's corruption, but the government onto him

Finally a guideverse with good world building and real stakes!! I heard the novel version is more angsty, messed up and doesn’t resolve properly or something so I’m sticking to the manhwa because I’m hoping for payoff, looking forward to season 2
