I kinda think he IS the real Humin and "irl" life was just a coping thing his brain did so that when he came back he wouldn't be so traumatized and could have his happy ending.
My other WISH/HOPE is that the mc is both Humins and that he was the og mc went to his world came back will resolve the plot, go back to his world and his friend will be the ML with all the memories of their "book life"

I just hope this doesn't turn into those scenes where the ML blames MC when the MC was just trying to get this absolute creepy off his back. Plus ML has NO RIGHT to be mad at MC for not telling him about the creep when the ML is keeping shit secret too.
