Yep, atleast he knows and admits he is a coward. Touma's resentment and Hayato's regret, those negative attachments lead to a less favorable future rebirths (who I feel sad for). Atleast Kaito and Yuuma broke the suffering-filled cycle.
The flow of the story is horrible and the plot holes, omg, the plot holes. I could forgive a few plot holes but this many right at the initial stages of the story? The premise is interesting though.
