dohu never actually lied to juheon? juheon was th one who pushed for a romantic relationship w/out actually knowing if they were on the same page ab it, not making sure that dohu's "like" was the same as his "like". dohu never said he approached juheon because he was interested in him romantically (or even platonically for that matter). juheon made his own assumptions about the situation, expected dohu to understand things the same way as him, and then got upset when he didn't. dohu was honest with his emotions the whole time, juheon was the one who assumed that he wasn't. also if dohu was ever gonna be in a place to take the first step with figuring out what the general expectations are in a situation it's NOT gonna be when he's already struggling like that. things that come intuitively to most people take effort to understand for people who don't have that. it's almost like you're playing a game, except nobody tells you the rules and you only figure out what they are when you break them. interactions that are easy for other people are something you think about and have to figure out how to approach, usually from past mistakes. and you have to care enough to actually remember what you learn, which dohu didn't for a long time.
tl;dr: juheon made assumptions about dohu's intentions, and then assumed that dohu was never honest about his feelings towards juheon even though he was. idc how much y'all think juheon's reaction is reasonable bc it's not. don't get into a relationship with a neurodivergent person if ur not gonna put in the effort to understand their view of things (ESPECIALLY in social / emotional situations)
jeongyeom being trapped / manipulated / whtvr doesn't justify his actions in any way shape or form ??? he murdered their parents (which, was justified imo but that doesn't detract from the fact that dong-im still lost both his parents in one night to his brother's hand- parents who didn't mistreat *him*) and then locked his brother up so he'd be reliant on him.
saw someone say that he locked dong-im up so he'd stop whoring himself, but let's be honest, that's none of jeongyeom's fucking business unless he's trying to monopolize dong-im. the fact that he killed their parents in response to dong-im getting betrothed (which couples in other historical bls have worked around) is also due to his own obsession.
dong-im might've been the first one to show jeongyeom kindness but that doesn't give jeongyeom the right to essentially take dong-im's life away and keep him locked up to fuck. also any 'manipulative' behavior on dong-im's part that people have pointed out came *after* their parents were murdered, and is only effective because of jeongyeom's obsession. it wasn't a cause it was an effect imo. and also it's pretty clear that jeongyeom isn't gonna listen to any kind of normal reasoning or explanation. dong-im doing things like fucking other guys isn't manipulative it's him trying to show jeongyeom that no matter what he does, he's already lost dong-im's trust and affection.
tl;dr: jeongyeom is 100% in the wrong. any manipulative behavior from dong-im came after the murder of their parents and as a reaction to jeongyeom's obsession. dong-im wanting to show jeongyeom that he will never truly be his isn't manipulative, it's understandable. and it's pretty obvious jeongyeom wouldn't listen to just words anyway.
