that yeah... a history of abuse & manipulation does actually explain the ml's behavior? it doesn't *justify* it, but it does *explain* it. i don't think his sister is telling the mc to guilt trip him or anything, i think she's telling him because it's important for him to know as his partner. yes he abused the mc, but to me at least it seems like he genuinely doesn't know how to deal with the situation in a healthy way. also characters pointing out things he does that are his way of showing that he gives a shit is good bc it offers the mc (and reader) insight into how he expresses himself.

if u were gonna cut green onion out in the 2nd season why add him in the first place,,, like him & his brother added a negligible amount to the story and their scenes weren't even relevant most of the time, like there was no fucking need??? the main couple were cute tho and i liked their dynamic, also i usually hate misunderstanding tropes but this one didn't last painfully long so it actually worked instead of just being there to add story length. overall it was pretty good but a lot of the rlly fucked up scenes coulda been cut :/
i honestly feel kinda bad for yijun... like from how he was acting in the psych ward & his final lil monologue abt living for himself, he probably could've had a pretty normal life if he got the psychiatric care he needed. did he do a bunch of fucked up shit? yes. was it entirely his fault? not really! and aside from the fact that His Parents just completely ignored the VERY OBVIOUS signs that their son needed help and didn't exactly set a good example of how to deal with things themselves, the state he was in for most of the story really didn't seem like one where he was thinking rationally or making intentional choices, if that makes sense. like he prolly wouldn't have been fit to stand trial for most of the story.
