At the beginning I was very conflicted with how the seme treated the uke, but as the story progressed I understood it was his selfdefense mechanism. He just wanted someone who wouldn't abandon him and acted mean and manipulative bc he didn't know a better. He also kept the act for a while bc he didn't want to admit to himaelf that he loved the uke. Once he admitted it, he turned into a softie and you can really tell how much they love each other. I loved this :) the uke is also a pretty strong guy, despite what may seem because of how their relationship starts.
I read Hachi first a while ago and I loved it, so my view might differ from what I'm seeing in the comments because Kuma was a really nice guy there and that made me approach this manga with that in mind.
I'm happy that Kuma re-encountered with Bambi bc you can tell he cared about him since the start. He really held back and chose to be the bigger person in Hachi, so I think he deserves to be spoiled now. The problem is the mangaka didn't work the pacing very well. I think with just another chapter she could have managed to develop Kuma's feelings properly and maybe working better the time frame... like "it's been two weeks/two months" or whatever between meetings, so that we could tell Kuma and Bambi have been meeting for a while and that Kuma is properly letting go. She could also have included more meaningful moments on Kuma's side when they were younger so that we could feel Bambi also marked Kuma's life (which in a way he did, but I wish the author depicted it better).
I don't think Kuma is using Bambi AT ALL bc he is a genuinely nice guy who cares, but this could have been done better to do more justice to Bambi's devotion. A date would have been nice to see their compatibility and to develop their relationship better. I would have liked to get the feeling that, as Kuma said, them meeting again was destiny. However, the author rushed everything and didn't take the time.
Also, the Momo extra was so random. Why waste pages in them when u got a story to develop right here?
To sum up. I'm conflicted bc I like them together, but the author didn't do them justice and left me unsatisfied =_=
If anything, the third couple needed one more chapter bc it felt rushed. Senpai came across as a jerk when he said his ex's name and told Sugimoto he only approached him bc he looks like his ex so nonchalantly. That hurt and it was not addressed again. Then suddenly he is in love with Sugimoto too? Mmm cute, but felt rushed and too convenient.

Who was the person jumping around? it was a woman, right? @_@ things are happening so slowly, yet it's not annoying, just intriguing haha
