That's a surprisingly hard question, it's got quite a bit of nonconsenual sex, I wouldn't call it rape but I'm not sure where you stand on that, e.g: omega goes into heat and approaches alpha or alpha gets into a rut state sorta thing. So mentally theyre not in the right state but are willing to have sex. Hope this helps, sorry for rambling.

I can relate to Kan in a way that I can be violent when I'm mad or when there's to much emotion swirling inside me. But unlike him, I don't hurt any one. I broke things like my laptop's mouse, my headphones, our stand fan and such. And perhaps because of this that I feel so sad for him. Like, my heart went out to him completely. Yes, I know the injustice of his actions toward Yumi but then, we can also put some blame on Yumi for not being a good emotional support. He should have not tolerated Kan's behavior and have done something about it. But he didn't and that only fired up Kan's violent streak. But then again, I'm happy that Yumi found the one he truly loves. And so is Kan. All's well that ends well.

The story of Kan and Shuuna has it's own prequel manga named "Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku", where Kan's past had been showed and how he used to cruely abuse his ex-boyfriend. Kan used to be a seme back then. The story's more focused on his ex-boyfriend "Yumi" and how he overcomes Kan's violence and starts a new healthy realationship. You should check it out if you haven't already. Yumi deserves it, he had gone through a lot because of Kan. It's absolutely worth a reading.
As I read the prequel first and know Kan's past, it's hard for me to forgive him this easily. I wonder if Shuuna still would've accepted him if he escalated how exactly he used to treat Yumi. He kinda escaped by saying an easy sentence "I hit him." I wonder how Shuuna would've reacted if Kan actually said "I used to burn holes on his skin with cigarettes" "I used to kick him, fuck him and punch him until he bled like fountains."

Oh and before you read Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku, you should read "Azami", where Kan and Yumi falls in love and starts their relationship. Azami is the very first story of the series.
