The comments are full of misogynistic hate towards the females that appeared in this story. Not all the females are bad!! Gosh!! I'm not one who cares for a weak female character who always needs rescuing and brings nothing to the team either, but this not the case here.
The redhead was curious about the supposedly sickly MC and it grew more when he didn't seek her out. Yes, she foiled his plans, but she still held her own. MC's maid, Rona, is comic relief and her job is his maid nothing more. Second maid Djitri is a spy, but from a fallen family, so she may or may not have combat skills that remains unseen in the story so far. Don't write off all potential female characters just because you want the MC to be some Lone Wolf badass character.
As for treating the maids realistically -- the author may have dumbed down on some aspects, but they still clean up after him, feed him, and attend to his outrageous requests with the ability to complain without being disciplined harshly by Nox, as they have established that sort of bond with him. If you want subservient maids constantly being raped and abused by the lords of they serve go read some hentai. Trust me there is plenty of that fetish if you prefer your maids to be subjected to a harsh lord/nobel and treated like an object instead of a human.
This is my 2nd manhwa where the premise is the MC has returned from the depths of Hell. And I like this story more than the other one on my reading list. This one shows you more of how the MC was able to survive in Hell and how he was able to get strong along the way. I also enjoyed the fact that when the MC suddenly got back to Earth he wasn't as overpowered as he once was. I like following him as he is regaining his hellish abilities. Also also, for once, I'm glad the MC does have family and friends who he wants to protect and vice versa. Plus, they missed him!! While I like reading the action scenes, I hope to get some regular family/friends daily life interactions.
I get tired of reading the same narrative of a loner MC who quickly becomes jacked/powerful now suddenly getting friends or acknowledge by family only because they are jacked/powerful. Authors it is all right to have family/friends who love and care for you. Your leading characters don't always have to be loners/dregs of society/orphans. I think having an already established support system in place adds a nice dynamic and added profundity to the character.
I'm gonna let this one go. I heard good things about the novel, but I can't handle this manhwa's various "translations". Perhaps, it's too late in the evening for me, but I keep getting thrown off by the different translations of names in a single chapter, text that seems to be out of order causing bad grammatical mayhem to occur, and poor pronoun usage when there is an obvious visual aid right there to help you choose the correct verbiage. Frickin' MTL!! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
The dragon is cute though.
Why am I still here reading this story? WTH is wrong with me?! I've dropped series for less trauma than this that they have put me through!! All seriousness, I don't want the MC to be with any of them, not even Kitty Cat Chan, they are all too damaged and dangerous for the MC to really let his guard down around and feel safe.
Not a bad read. It's slightly boring in the beginning as it uses the trope of good princess vs cursed princess. We see the titular FL being ignored treated like a pariah except for, of course, a few characters who see beyond the prophecy. Truthfully, the FL doesn't get interesting until she let's loose on her family for their initial desertion and then sudden interest in her life.
So far, I only feel bad for Noah who is the second prince and is always overlooked and just given imperial hand-me-downs. If he wanted a relationship with the FL, even hidden, he should have applied himself more to develop that bond.
Amaryllis is not a villainess. She's a spoiled princess who was raised to be a spoiled princess. She hasn't even done anything villain worthy. Just acted out a couple of times -- pure spoiled behavior.
Having read the novel spoiler summaries, I still don't care for the Prince or Yua. They both irritate me. That being said....I love how Aresh is low-key dating Seiichirou under the guise of helping to monitor his health and food intake. However, I also appreciate Seiichirou isn't completely clueless concerning Aresh's constant attention. Also consent!! A rarity in the BL world.
This series is definitely worth buying. Manga and Novel versions.
Stopped at 77. I knew this was going to be bad going into it from others reviews, but I was intrigued anyway. My fault. The ML is an abusive, controlling, rapist, who doesn't even allow the MC to have any platonic relationships. Constantly abusing the MC and wondering why he doesn't like him or want to be with him. He keeps throwing money at the MC thinking that will excuse all the abuse, rape, damages to his reputation.
Honestly, this isn't the first time I've read a ML like him, but I was sticking around for the actual revenge plot it was building up to in the story. I was really looking forward to it. And it seemed like the MC plotted a good one too. And then, the author hit us with some accident and some amnesia BS!! I had to tap out after that! What happened to the rest of my revenge story?? Screw this amnesia crap!! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Also, what kind of doctor can't tell when another male is pregnant?! A bad one.
