Just finished reading the latest chapter..... and oh boy, am i the only one who thinks that souma doesnt deserve the first seat? But dont get me wrong, he deserve other titles but first? I dont think so. For me eishi and rindou deserve there seats much more than souma because they achieved there titles independently like with their own strength only while souma and nakiri defeated them using teamwork so, if this is a normal shokugeki i doubt the rebels will win. Anyways lets see what will happen in the next ......
I agree. I think it would be much more satisfying if Souma managed to win the first seat through his own work, not in a team competition.
He got the first seat because he was the driving force behind the rebel alliance. Without him they would have all failed. Plus he's the one who most stands for what cooking should be in that world. So him having the first seat does make sense.
The first seat is not solely about who cooks the best, which is why Soma is first and not anyone else
