Okay yall I have a new theory. You know how the title is hounds of Sisyphus, in mythology Sisyphus betrays the king by revealing Zeus’ secret, Zeus condemns Sisyphus to eternal imprisonment in the underworld. And the gods force Sisyphus to roll a boulder up a mountain for eternity. “Sisyphus” being Guwon, and the zombies being the hounds. So maybe it is that Guwon actually started this plague or whatever by possibly betraying someone which caused them to become a zombie, which could be the reason guwon through up after. He also may be connected to the boulder part, by having tried countless ways to avoid the zombie part. Maybe it has some connection. Or I’m reaching and delusional who knows

So, I like your theory but the version of mythology about Sisyphus that I remember is that he was abñe to trick and beat death twice, for which he was punished.
We do see Guwon basically "coming back from death" at the beginning of this story, so maybe like you said, the first time he beat it was when the zombies broke out and then the second time his punishment is not being able to feel anything

Nah you guys got it all wrong… he’s half human half zombie. The kiss probably triggered his zombie side which is why he threw up. To contain it after the kiss. He does like teach and wants to protect him but it’s almost like he’s got DID as his “zombie” personality can take control and so can his “human” personality.

Yeah but it's not like the zombies in this eat people or anything. They're just like actual dead people walking around until they physically can't move or their heads are cut off
I definitely don't think he's 100% human and he could be part zombie, but I'm not sure what you mean by his zombie side being triggered by the kiss
Nah the author just playing with us at this point, I’m so confused
