I went ahead and read the novel but dropped it immediately. The engagement was real. It turned out that the ML was not aware of his own feelings and when the fiancee gave an ultimatum that they can't get married unless he cut ties with the MC, he chose the MC and broke off the engagement. LOL. Don't worry, the fiancee is not a bxtch. She's just the victim of this situation cos these two people couldn't get their shit together. She's really cool. Just hate that she became a plot device just for these two 30year olds to be together. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

I'm not really sure how things will turn out since I only read the first volume. All of the things I mentioned happened in that volume. They'll come clean with their feelings before the end of the volume so they must be more drama ahead. But I don't want to continue it because of the way they treated the fiancee. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I haven't read the novel but from what you've said it sounds to me like the fiancee could've handle the situation with the ML a little better XD. Idk abt you but if my fiancee tells me I have to cut ties with my best friend of 10 years with no rhyme or reason just for us to get married then I'd choose my best friend too cuz why do I have to choose between the person I love and the person who's been my closest friend? No hate to the fiancee, she's clearly been dragged around by the ML's indecisiveness for way too long and was getting impatient but I feel she could've handled it better by talking it out with him properly instead of giving him a 'do or die' where ultimately he'd have to let go of either one or both of the people he holds dear. (´ . . . `)

She prob had to do that because Han Jei couldn't get his shit together.
Think about it. 1 month before their *WEDDING" dude dcies it's ok to fly half way across the world to spend it with his "best friend". If I were to marry someone who will ditch me in a heart beat for his "so-called best friend" then yeah. I'd be upset too.

From what I understood from the raws, the MC won't pursue the case since his mother begged him, reason being she was going to die soon of cancer. So the MC decided to just leave the ML since he prob thought he didn't deserve him or something along those lines. The ML snapped and stabbed the MC. Fast forward a few years. The MC survived, the ML had gone missing, and the mother was miraculously cured from cancer and is now running for some major government position. Then MC and ML will meet and we will finally see the events that happened in chapter 1.

SPOILER
That is just fucked up. I'm genuinely surprised Taekyung decides to drop the case even if it's concerning his adoptive mother because I thought he was the kind of prosecutor who wants to get to the bottom of everything and have justice served. It's a little disappointing after all this time (and he's even letting her run for government knowing she's most likely corrupt) and now I have a better idea as to why Hee-seo did what he did. Maybe Taekyung just ends up stuck in denial and doesn't want to accept what she did and the fact that she most likely adopted him specifically because of Jeong-Ae.

It's an open ending. Which is probably better. I mean, just looking at how Hiyori was now all grown up and Yato still looked the same, the end between them would definitely be bittersweet. Something like Frieren and Hamel, or any immortal with a mortal, for that matter. Man, why do I have to go there? Now it's making me sad. ╥﹏╥

I remember reading the novel of this via MTL, maybe a year ago or so, and then I dropped it because something happened that really pissed me off. Lol. He allowed the King guy to take over his body when he knew that the guy is super sus. I don't remember if he's fighting a group of villains or monsters, anyway, he had to save high-ranking people and even some civillians, and because he allowed King to take over his body because he couldn't defeat his opponent, King just ended up killing everyone, including the people he has to save. And he was seen by others doing it. Like, how can you make an excuse for that so people wouldn't brand you as a villain? Lol I couldn't take it anymore and just dropped it.

I can't believe something like this will eventually happen. That makes me wanna drop it cuz it's obvious that he will be branded as a murderer and he'll have a hard time for sure trying to solve his mistake because of what had happened. Because of his stupid decision I mean like why tho?? What was the author thinking about
I can't wait for you to regret your decision. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
