On Zahid and Ertha’s wedding day.

After they arrives at the capital, they straightly go the palace.

They meet the Emperor.
Zahid tells him that his meeting with Ertha was a fate. The Emperor calls Zahid so they can talk alone. Then Hesion comes to meet Ertha. They’re talking, Zahid sees Ertha smile at Hesion (remember my other spoiler? When Zahid asked Ertha why she smiled at the prince).

When they get home, Ertha realizes Ethan and Charles have been abused by their teacher, Mrs. Kayla. She’s actually only become their teacher in Countess Marzeline stead (or Mageline? I don’t remember her name).

Ertha knows she can’t act recklessly or people will say bad things about her. She invites Mrs. Kayla. They’re talking nicely and Mrs. Kayla invites Ertha to her party. Then Mrs. Kayla sees directly that the butler and the other servants bow to Ertha (for not realizing what happened with Ethan and Charles), Ertha doesn’t attack directly, it just shows she has a power now, since she’s a duchess. But the invitation has already been sent so Ertha will come.

Mrs. Kayla’s intention is to mock Ertha. She doesn’t like how Ertha is on the top right now, she’s supposed to be in the slum, working at her husband’s place.
She has a lot of friends using money. Ertha realizes this and brings expensive wines then gives them to the other women. They turn their back on Mrs. Kayla immediately. They’re talking and laughing except Mrs. Kayla.

Zahid comes. After a while, Mrs. Kayla can’t take it anymore, gets mad and talks badly about Ertha. Then Ronya ‘takes care’ of her after that no one dare to talk dirty about Ertha again.

After this, basically only about their daily life. Ertha purifies Hirkan. Hirkan reading a novel with Anchen. Zahid and Ertha kissing a lot, show a romantic side in front of other people.

They're on the carriage to go home. It's raining.
Zahid: you dont like rain, dont you?

She thought they were sent by the Pope, but they werent.
One of the Paladin, Curtlan, talkes to her to help Velia (who once was Ertha's parents friend), she was prisoned and was accused as a pagan (Arantium's worshipper). Then Ertha alone comes with them to the Vatican.
She talkes with the Pope, Genosius (the author says his name was taking after Genocide) in his flower garden. This is where Ertha asks him if Arantium is really a traitor or not. They make an agreement.
Ertha: we can do business, are you interested, pope?

She goes outside. There is Zahid.
Zahid: are you planning to run away, Ertha?
Ertha: I said to you for so many times that my body is yours..and while my younger siblings are the hostages, I cant run away.

Then they go home, but before that they got to that orchard, Zahid cook the meal and feeds her.

Zahid meets the Pope, he threatens the Pope using the bracelet that Hirkan used (he used a lot of accesories from the Pope to prevent him being crazy, but actually it's like you're using drugs. It reduced your pain, but the effects are more dangerous). If Niacal knows, of course they wont like it and will think the Pope has betrayed them.

The reason why Ertha wants to attend to the masquarade ball is to meet Diana. But it becomes hard when Zahid comes too. In the ballroom, there are a lot of Zahid's people.

Zahid leaves her to do some business. Finally Ertha finds some ways to meet Diana. They talk and make a deal (their plan is to accuse Zahid as Arantium's worshipper and help Ertha to run away. Diana also wants to destroy her family).

After that, she meets Hesion. He flirts with her. He thinks Ertha is not happy with her marriage, seeing her in a party like this...(when people making out and have an affair). Ronya saves her, she tells Ertha that Zahid is in danger.

The reason why Zahid comes to the masquarade ball is he wants to take care of some of noble man (I don't remember his name lol), he's a drug dealer. The man doesn't know Zahid is a magician. He's kinda being stubborn. Then Zahid uses his magic and deal with the man and his people. Because he's using magic, he's in a state of maliciousness. That's why Ronya calls Ertha.

Ertha thought Zahid is in danger, like he was hurt. She runs. She sees Zahid's knights trying to stop Zahid but failed. Zahid is very dangerous, but Ertha doesnt care. She comes. This is where Zahid tells her not to cry (he's hallucinating), and asks her why did she smile at Hesion.
They make out (you know, to purify him)

Curtlan and Velia come to meet Ertha, they want to thank her. In return, Ertha wants them to give a report if they find anything strange in the Vatican.

Because the incident with Mrs. Kayla, Countess Marzeline wants to make up for it. She prepares a tea party for the young children for Charles and Ethan. When the children come, Charles have a better idea. They play outside, all the noble children's clothes get dirty. The children would surely be scolded by their parents, not acting as a noble. The fake wizard has a brother. He reminds Ertha of Charles and Ethan and pitied him. Zahid notices this and they talk outside. Zahid tells her to not always think of her younger siblings.

While they're talking, Hirkan who sees the fake wizard thought this 'fake wizard' must be misarable like him. When Hirkan approaches him, the fake wizard being an annoying brat to Hirkan. The Pope provoke Hirkan then Hirkan being mad and destroy the place.

Zahid comes inside to calm Hirkan down.

The Pope comes outside to meet Ertha. He uses distraction to meet her. Then they talk, but I dont remember what they're talking about

The Pope leaves her. Ertha finds Zahid under the moonlight. This is when she realises her feeling. She likes Zahid.
Zahid: what are you talking about with the Pope? Did he say useless thing again?
Instead of answering.
Ertha: you won.
Ertha: I like you.
Ertha: I like you, Zahid

After her confession, Zahid doesnt feel satisfy at all even tho he wins.

All the nobles look curious, because the wizard of earth called the Duchess by her name.
Charles and Ethan angry “why are you hugging our sister?!” “ge-get away from my sister!”

Ertha wants to hide herself in a hole xD she planned to tell Charles and Ethan about Hirkan but it’s already become a mess.

Ertha “Zahid, I will solve it. I think the Prince has misunderstood, he thinks I don’t have a happy marriage.”

Zahid “someone like him? Who resembles flower gardens but greedy?” Ertha doesn’t understand why the conversation goes this way.

Diana comes and pushes the Empress to help Ertha. Diana comes into a realisation, she’s not a child anymore, she can just push the Empress, unlike before the Empress always abuses her.

Then they dance in the garden.

Hesion and Hirkan will work together to beat Zahid in the duel. Just a reminder, only a few people know Zahid is a wizard. It is Zahid’s plan to reveal it in a duel when everyone is watching. He wants to make it as dramatic as possible.
But, the stupid Hesion never use magic for a long time so when he uses it and attacks Zahid, he’s in a state of maliciousness and tries to find Ertha using his water magic. Ertha realises her siblings will be hurt. She protects them and jumps (it’s hard to describe but she does a dangerous thing). Hesion manages to catch her. He hugs her and squeezes his head into her neck. Zahid is angry and comes to her.
He attacks Hesion, it’s really bloody (it was described like a chop of a meat), if Hesion is not a wizard, he will die.
Ertha “Zahid”
Zahid “....it was dangerous”
Zahid “Do you even want to die? Why did you jump? Even though you know it's dangerous!”
Ertha “my younger siblings..”
Zahid “....crazy”
Zahid “If this things happen again, I don’t know what to do then”
Zahid “if you want to protect your siblings, protect your body first.”
The duel ended. Zahid wins.

Then the two of them ride a boat. Zahid doesn’t bother paddling the boat, he uses his magic, but Ertha is embarrassed because other people see it. She pretends to paddle the boat. Zahid is laughing so hard seeing her.
Zahid “please straightens your hat a little”
He straightens her hat.

The Emperor calls Ertha. They make a deal. I don’t remember what they’re talking about, I only remember Ertha revealing to him that her marriage with Zahid is a contract marriage. Ertha betrays Zahid in this scene.

Then Ertha meets with Hesion.
Hesion tells her to give him a chance when they manage to get rid of Zahid. Ertha decides to lie and says ‘yes, i will’. Hesion looks happy. He doesn’t know when the time comes I already run away with my younger siblings.

Zahid interrupts their meeting. Hesion tells him to stop dragging Ertha.
“Your Highness, no matter what, you can’t have everything”
“...”
“and my wife is not something that I can share with others”

While they’re on the carriage to go home.
Ertha: Zahid, I am and Your High..

Zahid: why I feel so mad
Zahid: I take a purifier but it seems useless. Why is it not working perfectly? (he means why he doesn’t feel calm at all because purifier is supposed to make a wizard’s mind feel calm).
Ertha is crying.

Perhaps in the future there will be a dangerous event.

Zahid and Ertha go outside to buy clothes. They see the papers again about Arantium is not a traitor, the rumors said that the purifier is a reincarnation of Arantium.
Ertha asks Zahid “Zahid, do you think Arantium is a traitor?”
Then before he can answer, they meet the Cerzan couple in the boutique (Marchioness Cerzan is the one who bullies Ertha in the previous chapters).
The couple is close with the Emperor and Empress.

They already hear their marriage is a contract marriage, to put it simply, in the end Zahid threatened them not to spread weird rumors on the luncheon with the Emperor.

The luncheon has started. After the Emperor notices that Ethan is stuttering, he tries to talk to Ethan. Charles and Ertha try to answer the Emperor’s question but he wants to hear Ethan’s answer while stuttering. it will be embarrassing in front of the nobles, seeing Ethan is stuttering and can’t speak properly. And the Emperor kind of threaten Ertha so she won’t betray him.

He also asks a question about how they met (a reminder: Ertha has told the Emperor her marriage is a contract marriage, the Emperor asks this purposely in front of the nobles).
In front of everyone Ertha answers she likes Zahid and says they fall in love at first sight.
The Emperor frowns because he doesn’t get the answer he wants, then he picks up another target, Ethan. He asks Ethan a lot of a question, Ethan is having a hard time answering it and it’s really humiliating.
Suddenly Zahid throws the knife and almost throws it at the Emperor.
Zahid “I’m sorry, my hand slipped”
Then Zahid says he will take a leave, along with Ertha, Ethan, and Charles.
Hesion whispers at Hirkan “I hope you have a nice meal”
Hirkan “no, you and your father are bad. don’t touch my friend” (after that no one dares to bully Ethan because both Zahid and Hirkan defend him, especially when the wizard of earth says “dont touch my friend”)

After that.
Ertha: you are crazy
Zahid: now you know?
Ertha: it’s not that…
Zahid: then tell me more
Ertha: I-I do-don’t want you to get in trouble…
Zahid: why do you think that way?

Then they finally go to that auction house because Zahid just let it be if Ertha wants to go there.

When she sees the painting of <The Traitor Who Fell Into Hell>, the angel who had a feeling in the end (all angels and God Essis can’t feel any emotion, except Arantium after knowing the boy). She feels this sudden emotion that she can’t control. She becomes pale.
Zahid “Ertha, are you alright?”
Ertha “I’m alright. It’s just… the painting is amazing”
Zahid “do you like that? do you want it?” Ertha nodded her head.
Zahid “if you want it, then follow after me”
Zahid “please buy it for me, husband”

They want the painting. Then suddenly the Pope appears too. He says he want the painting to but he lost it.

Pope talks to Ertha “how was that night?” (that night when Ertha confesses to Zahid)
Ertha “thanks to Your Holiness, I realized that I have Duke of Carnor in my heart”
Then suddenly “how can you do that!” it’s from the pagans.
pagan “even after you lost everything! how can you love someone again! please give up and come back, Arantium”

Then Zahid notices the words affect Ertha because she becomes pale “dont listen to them, Ertha” Zahid hugs her but Ertha pushes him. It was such a small movement but Zahid takes it sensitively (the Pope notices it).

Zahid is busy so he hasn’t came. There is this man who flirts with Ertha and asks her to go out “why didn’t ma’am put your belonging to the auction?” because some people want to have those.
Then Suddenly,
Ertha “Zahid…?”
he only stares at the man, the man heard Zahid wouldn’t come.
Zahid “what did i say, ertha. there are many perverts”

then the auction began.
Ertha sits beside Zahid.

Charles and Ethan are the one who bring the auction items, everyone look at them as a cutie.

Ertha is smiling seeing them.
Then she looks at Zahid, their eyes met. Zahid is looking at her.
Zahid “you were so obsessed with your younger siblings and didn’t even notice”
Zahid turns his gaze at the stage again and mutters “only smile...like that…to…” (only smiles brightly like that to Charles and Ethan).

The auction ends.

Zahid meets with the Pope. After seeing how Zahid reacts when Ertha pushed him, Genocius thought it would be fun. Then he told Zahid to get an eternal calmness, a wizard needed to eat the purifier.

They eat together.

Then Ertha is screaming and crying to Zahid.

He leaves her. The doorknob is melted so no one can open it except Zahid.

Then they ask Zahid.

On the fountain wish, Ertha made a wish to make Zahid becomes a human.
Ertha feels sad about what has happened. She doesn’t want to die. She sits with her back leaned against the door. Then she hears someone’s voice “Ertha..”
It seems that Zahid also sits with his back leaned on against the door.
Ertha: don’t come inside. I don’t want to see your face
Zahid: ….
Ertha: I want to hear why suddenly you want to kill me
Ertha: and next time if you want to kill me again… just kill me. don’t do anything weird again. (she means asking her to go out like a date).
Zahid: Ertha..
Then Zahid speaks completely different words that she has imagined.

Just like usual, she has to answer. After a long silence, she finally says.

Then Ronya gives a report to Zahid that both Ronya and Anchen think Ertha knows the future and it might be related to Charles and Ethan as to why she wants to run away.

Ertha finds Charles and Ethan. They miss her, then suddenly Ertha faints out.
Charles and Ethan are taking care of her while she’s sick.

Zahid comes and tells Ertha about what he heard from the Pope (wizard can eat a purifier). He says he tries to eat her that day but he couldn’t. Zahid asks if she knows about the secret of the purifier, she answers yes.

Zahid “when you confessed to me, Ertha, I thought I won. I never lose”
Zahid “But it wasn’t a winning, it was a defeat”
Zahid “you won, Ertha”
Zahid “perhaps… I think I like you”
Zahid “Dimon says that people’s mind aren’t earned by games and in fact I’m still unsure..”

He laughs hearing Ertha is still alive. His plan is success. Ertha and Zahid’s relationship won’t be the same anymore. He tried to test Zahid when he saw his expression towards Ertha.

Ertha meets Diana. Diana tells her why she thinks that Zahid is not a human.

the Empress loved her concubine. Then she got pregnant, but she doesn’t know whose the father is, the emperor or her concubine.

She’s afraid and decides to cut off her relationship with him.

years after that. Diana comes to find the old-man, she wants to clarify and finds evidence that he’s not her father. but at that time, Zahid comes and kills the man. Diana hides but their eyes met, it means Zahid knows Diana is there. He kills the evidence. She doesn’t know at the moments who he was.

But then they met at the banquet. She sees Zahid El Carnor, the war hero. Unlike Diana, who looks so surprised, Zahid doesn’t look surprised at all, it means he already knew who Diana is at that time.
Then she realizes why Zahid kills the Empress’s concubine at that time.
Theresia, the Empress shows interest in Zahid. He wants Theresia to stop. to do so, he searches for her weakness, and that’s her concubine. that’s why he killed her concubine, so Theresia’s madness won’t heal. Because of her madness, she starts abusing Diana. Zahid hopes that Theresia will think Diana is her concubine’s child forever, so he always has her weakness.

after that the people in Duke’s residence see Ertha and Zahid’s relationship are not in a good terms, they thought they’re in an argument and hope they will reconcile. They thought Zahid did something wrong, then Ertha is angry. but Charles and Ethan don’t think it’s that simple.

After that it’s not really important, there are some conflicts between Ertha with the priests. Ertha sends a letter to the Vatican about it, but she’s surprised when the Pope himself comes.
They’re talking about the deal they have talked about.
He pulls out the dagger “don’t be afraid. I’m used to this kind of thing”

Then Hesion comes (he already heard about what happened between Ertha and Zahid and tries to approach Ertha). He asks her what she wants.
Ertha “I heard the fox is pretty..” then they hear something is breaking. Zahid looks so angry. Hesion doesn’t care and asks Ertha for a handkerchief. Zahid says it’s too much because Ertha is his wife.
Ertha only replies that she doesn’t bring any handkerchief.

While Ertha and Zahid go to the hunting competition, Charles and Ethan stay at the Duke’s residence. Not many people in there because they are away along with Ertha and Zahid to protect them to prevent something dangerous.

Then Ethan and Charles got kidnapped.

Ertha has an ominous feeling and she along with Zahid and Hirkan come back to the duke’s mansion and find out that both Charles and Ethan has gone. They know it’s the Empress’s order. The 3 of them come to the Empress’s palace and threaten her to tell them where are Charles and Ethan.

Charles and Ethan’s POV.

Ethan feels so scared. When the kidnapper wants to cut their fingers, Charles tries to protect Ethan so she will be the only one who got hurt. Ethan feels he’s really useless, always got protected by his sisters without doing anything. Then a strong wind blows. (He uses his power for the first time).

Ertha and Zahid manages to find Charles and Ethan. It’s easy to find because everything has become a disaster. In the middle of the disaster, they see Ethan is crying. He’s hurt because it’s his first time using magic and he can’t endure it. Ertha tries to protect Ethan because she assumes that Zahid will try to kill Ethan once he knows about it. Zahid realizes know why Ertha wants to run away. He tells her just to kill him and gives her a knife. Without realizing, Ertha really hurts Zahid. Ertha fainted. But surprisingly, Zahid doesn’t want to kill Ethan. Even Ronya is surprised.

While unconscious, Ertha had a dream.


After the first meeting between the boy and Arantium, the boy kept approaching Arantium and talked to her. He told her so many things but Arantium kept being indifferent without emotion. But the boy didn’t care.

For years, Arantium watched the boy too, he’s a really good child. He’s an apprentice priest.

Then some day, the war broke out.
The boy come along to treat the injured soldiers. Arantium was there too, to lead the soul of the dead to heaven. She saw the boy. The boy is crying.

Boy “angel...”

He’s crying because he can’t treat the injured soldiers because of the lack of budget. He didn’t understand how can this thing happens, where all the donation money goes (corruption).

In the past I looked down, but now my eye level is similar to that boy.

The boy has become an adult, but Arantium kept calling him as a boy.

Arantium told him that evil things is an usual thing (like a corruption), the boy shouts “but you should not say that!”

Arantium thinks that it might be different if the boy is the Pope.

Ertha wakes up.

She meets with Diana, they’re talking about the plan. Then just like what Diana says to Ertha, once the plan is successful, she wishes a happiness for Diana.

Because Zahid has threaten the Empress, he was taken to the palace. This is the right time to carry out the plan.

Zahid “Ertha, I want you to wait for a week”
What does a week mean? (It was mentioned that actually Zahid has a plan for five years later but because of Ertha he changes it into a week).
When Zahid is gone, Ertha thinks this is the right time to run away.

Ronya ran right away and shouts to Zahid that Ertha has run away. Zahid came out from the carriage. The carriage door is falling further away. He releases the rope that has tighten his arm. The knights become wary.

“I will go to the Imperial Palace once I’m done with my business. I need to catch my only wife”

Hirkan is the one who take the 3 of them to run away. He need to find a place that suitable for him to teleport them right away. And it’s the place where Zahid and Ertha rode a horse long time ago. Zahid noticed this and come right away. He wanted to stop Ertha and begging. Then at this very moment, Charles uses her power for the first time. Zahid vs Ethan, Hirkan, and Charles. But in the end Zahid wins. He begged and told her “don’t go...”

But then in front of everyone he says “my power is not only magic”. His knights attack the palace. Zahid kills the Emperor. He sits on the throne.

Hesion, who eagerly calling her out her name, flinched as he noticed something strange.

Ronya lent her a sword.

“Diana, no way.! How come to do this to your brother...!”
Diana asked, “why did you do that to me, brother?”
“What did I do? I didn’t do anything!”
Ah..
He was a really disgusting bystander.
Diana replied, “that’s the problem. you didn’t do anything”
Then she raised the sword.

Ertha still likes Zahid. In 5 years, Ertha, Charles, and Ethan have been wandering from place to place. A lot of people try to chase them because they’re a purifier and wizards. It becomes natural for them to escape.

Ethan is taller than Ertha, and guess what? He’s not stuttering anymore!! (I forgot where they mentioned Charles and Ethan’s appearances but I only remember Charles had red eyes, Ethan had green eyes. I don’t remember their hair colors). Both of them are 16 years old (correct me if I’m wrong but on the beginning of the story they’re 10 years old right? Then they celebrate their birthday once (11 years old), 5 years later.. so 16 years old).

They heard the news that Zahid will conquer the continent, and the target this time is Niacal. Ertha asked Charles and Ethan “should we go to Niacal?” it has been decided. Hirkan is their friend so they never let anything happen to Hirkan.

Zahid’s POV.

He got what he wanted, but he didn’t feel happy at all. His purpose is to conquer the continent even before he met Ertha, it was still the same but the purpose behind it was changed, he wanted to conquer the continent so he can have Ertha.

Zahid likes to smoke some kind of drug(?) after Ertha was gone. It’s a really strong drugs. And his other hobby are buying a lot of shoes (referring to one of my previous spoilers when Ertha told him that if someone is gone, buy shoes so they will come back).

It was said that the person will comeback if you buy a shoes. Was it a lie, Ertha. You’re really good at lying.

like a child, Zahid is always waiting with a full of anticipation.

“Dimon, report”
“Niacal has requested a negotiation. It seems that they want to stop the war.”
“Ha...”
“Why don’t you go to Niacal?” Dimon suggested to Zahid.

Remember that their original plan was to bring Ertha, Charles, and Ethan to Niacal. But Hirkan set them free. The King is so angry once he knew Charles and Ethan are wizards, but can’t punish Hirkan because he’s too important to Niacal.

then finally Hirkan met Ertha and the siblings after a long time.

Ertha made a request that she wanted to negotiate as a representative from Niacal.

Ertha dreams about Zahid very often. Ertha never believes Zahid loves her. It was all a lie. So in her dreams, after Zahid said he loves her, he said “it’s a lie, Ertha”. When she woke up, Charles is there to comfort her. Ertha feels like these days she’s the youngest. Ah and, Charles is taller than Ertha too. It was described that both Ethan and Charles looked like an adult despite their age.

then they went outside to take a look at Niacal’s market place. Because they already get used about people following them. They realized they were being followed. Then when they caught the chasers, they were Ronya and Anchen.

Ronya’a POV.

they’re in Niacal but suddenly Ronya noticed something.

“look over there, Anchen, aren’t they look exactly like madam and her siblings?”

then she realized the person was definitely Ertha. Ertha in Niacal. Ronya followed them, she just wanted to see where they stayed at.

they were caught by the siblings.
“Ma-madam...”
“...Ronya”

“Lord Zahid regrets a lot, he’s struggling and missin..”
“Such a person causing a continental conquest. Is it because so I can’t hide anymore?”

Zahid thinks that’s the only way to hold her.

then Ertha told them that she wanted to stop the war and negotiate.

a refreshing wind blew on the conference hall. Three people appeared through the small tornado wind.
They wore Niacal clothes and covered half of their faces.
The sound of the chair rolling on the floor was so loud, but no one paid attention.
The woman standing in the front said “forgive me for being late”.
She pulled down the cloth covering her face.
“I am the representative from Niacal”.
Blue-gray eyes faced Zahid “it’s Ertha Arles”.

Ertha have a choice, to meet or not to meet him. But in the end she chose to meet him.

Zahid was staring at me with a blank expression. It would be so surprising because it was an unexpected meeting.
It was a moment when I was about to open my mouth.
Zahid moved.
In a blink of an eye, he’s already in front of me. I was surprised with my eyes wide opened.
Soon I was buried in his hard chest. I felt the familiar warmth.
Zahid hugged me tightly. Everyone in the room froze.
“...is this real?” Zahid whispered “is this really you?” His body was trembling.
“Ertha...”
“...I. I came just to negotiate on behalf of Niacal”
Zahid said “negotiation is cancelled”
“Your Majesty! Why...!” (Random person)
“Please listen to the negotiation!” (Random person)
“Let’s resume tomorrow” (zahid)
Then Zahid left the room.

Ertha ran after Zahid.

“Why did you cancel the negotiation!? Why are you doing only what you want!” (E)

Ertha kept asking why did he cancel the negotiation.
“If the negotiation ends today. You will leave again” (Z)

Zahid “it used to be. My only wish was to rise to the highest position and look down at people, to achieve something that no one could do. But not now. Because you changed me” Zahid has regretted for everything he did, but no matter what, he knows Ertha won’t believe him.
Ertha “you’re the one who made me can’t believe you! I hate you! I hate!”
Then he showed her the bottle that contains her blood.
Ertha “...why didnt you drink it?”
Zahid “I don’t need a purifier” the reason he was suffered not because maliciousness from using magic, but it’s because of Ertha.
Zahid gave the bottle to Ertha and wish he could ask a question “was it a lie to buy shoes so that you can come back?”

he heard about Ertha in Niacal. Zahid destroyed the Pope’s place to get that blood. He still have an idea to crush Zahid.

Ronya and Anchen are asking to Zahid about his meeting with Ertha.
Zahid “Ronya, Anchen, it’s not for you to be depressed”
“But...”
Zahid “I’m okay” Zahid laughed “I can see Ertha’s face, so it’s a pretty happy hell”

Charles and Ethan had a plan. They suggested that Hirkan is the one who will escort Ertha to the banquet hall. They dressed Ertha prettily.
Then Ertha and Hirkan went together. Then Hirkan lifted her up like a princess Ertha was embarrassed by his sudden action.
Then she felt a lot of gazes, including Zahid. Zahid was staring right at her. He was looking with an expressionless face. Her with Hirkan. His eyes flashed with bloody energy. Zahid wanted to kill Hirkan but he endured it.

Hirkan told Ertha that he was told to do that by Ethan and Charles.

the King called Ertha and praise for her beauty. Then Zahid threw the glass. The King was surprised.
Ertha thought in her memory, Zahid is not a person who shows emotion like this, but now he’s different.

Charles said to Ertha that the operation is successful. And she told Ertha to go to the terrace. Then she followed her instruction but she’s being kidnapped by someone.

(Before the arrival of Ertha and Hirkan on the banquet. Charles and Ethan went first before Ertha and Hirkan).
Charles “it’s been a long time, Your Majesty”
Charles “because we meet here. I’ll be honest with you, Your Majesty. Ertha is seeing someone right now”
It was a lie but Zahid was deceived. His eyes were shaking.
Charles “wouldn’t it better for Your Majesty to forget your ex-wife and find a new partner?”

and then Ertha and Hirkan appeared in the banquet. Hirkan carried Ertha.

(After Ertha disappeared)
Ethan and Charles went to the terrace but no one in there. Hirkan and Zahid followed behind them.

Charles “...how about a truce for a moment, Your Majesty”
Zahid “it’s an honor”

Hirkan told Saloem (he’s the closest person to Hirkan) to tell the king that Niacal’s hospitality for guests is very poor. He’s angry.

Seeing Ertha disappeared, Charles and Ethan looked so calm. They judged the situation calmly. Now they have strength. It’s very different from the past when they just can cry.

then Ethan starts to use his power to find Ertha using the wind.
Zahid who was watching quietly, finally said “you look familiar with this situation”
Charles replied that it was because this kind of thing has happened for so many times to they used to it.
Zahid “is ertha getting used to it?”
Charles “..wh-what?”
Zahid “for this kind of thing”
Charles “she is. She’s been through a lot so far...”
Zahid was hardened with a shocked face because Ertha used to be so afraid all the time with scary things but now she get used to it.

then Ethan found where Ertha was.

the kidnappers were Arantium’s worshipper. They brought her to Arantium Temple and wanted to use Ertha as an offering to bring back Arantium.

then suddenly Ertha couldn’t believe her eyes. It’s a weird combination, all four wizards came together, Ethan, Charles, Zahid, and Hirkan.

then they managed to save Ertha of course since they’re OP characters.
Zahid destroyed Arantium’s statue because he doesn’t like it.

Zahid “you’ve become a brave person”
Ertha “...what does it mean?”
Zahid “you used to be so scared of everything in the past”
Ertha reached out to Zahid “in return for helping my younger siblings..” but Zahid snapped her hand and pulled it to his cheek. Then kiss her wrist.
Zahid took out his outwear and want to cover Ertha. Ertha rejected it but Zahid said “please, Ertha”
Zahid told her about Diana is still alive because he knows Ertha wanna know about that.
Zahid “let’s talk after the negotiation is over” so he still has a reason to talk to her.

That night. Ertha had a dream.

Arantium met the boy very often. Through their meetings, she thought why angels don't have emotion like humans.
The reason why the boy can shine was because he had emotion, to judge rasionally, and never afraid of any thorns of path that he'd been through.

She learned happiness and joy from the boy's smile. She learned sadness from the boy's cry. She also learned jealosy on an unexpected occassion.

One day, when she walked with the boy, the boy said with a shy smile "you're really beautiful when you laugh. I hope you laugh more often.
Arantium: but it's you who make me laugh. If it's not you, I dont have to laugh.

the boy's face turned red "I'll make you laugh a lot"

the boy and Arantium got closer and closer.

then one day, the boy and Arantium sat in front of a lake.
boy: I know you only see me as a boy.

He was now a man who couldnt be called as a boy anymore. now he was taller than Arantium.

Arantium: do you want me to treat you as a man?
The boy looked at her for a quiet some time, and his face turned red.
boy: I-I...
then he kissed Arantium. Arantium looked at the crying boy.
boy: I-I'm sorry. Angel, actually...
boy: I like you...
then Arantium reached out and kissed him. that was the beginning, day by day she began crave for more.

She thought "nobody tell me if I shoudnt have feeling or fall in love" finally Arantium lived with emotion day by day.

it's been a long time after she met that boy. as soon as she saw him in the distance, she ran happily and hugged him and kissed him right away. the boy trembled for a moment, but soon accepted my kiss and hugged me on the waist (bold this sentence on purpose because it was mentioned in the later chapter that Essis had feeling/emotion, Arantium would realize that very soon). but it she felt something strange with him today. did someone bother him? then when she took a step back. she froze. he wasnt the boy. he was Essis.
Essis: Arantium, are you ready to pay the price of sin?

Ertha woke up and cried. she could hear Arantium said "you have to save the child. he is innocent. everything is my sin. I'm the one who need to atone my sin"

Ertha thought. after the Arantium's dream was over (she means when she will stop dreaming about Arantium), what will happen then?

Finally, the day of the negotiation came.
Zahid wanted Niacal to surrender to the Empire, he didnt want to accept any conditions. Then Ertha told him that she was here to stop the war. if Zahid still insisted on conquering Niacal, Ertha would stop him. As a purifier, she will made an alliances and fight against the Empire.

Zahid looked at Ertha silently. However, his emotion was revealed.
Zahid: ....what is this? you come to cut me off completely...
the expesioneless mask was shattered.
Zahid: on a situation where I can't even touch you...
Zahid: ... I want you to give me time to think. I'll give the answer by tomorrow

Ertha returned to her room but suddenly heard Ronya
Ronya "Lady Ertha!!"
Ronya "please help! please meet Lord Zahid..."
Ertha "......"

Ertha wouldnt be able to endure it. Zahid was confused why Ertha was in his bedroom.
Ertha lost her consciousness and ended up sleeping in his bed.

it was Ronya's plan lol, she said to Anchen "it was successfull"
Zahid told them "...Ertha is sleeping on my bed"
Zahid "I dont want to send her back"

then Zahid told them that he need to find the Pope. he wanted to know why the arantium's worshippers said that Ertha is the reincarnation of Arantium and what would happen to her.

Ertha woke up. Zahid kissed her forehead and told her to sleep more. Then she came to her senses. They're talking and Zahid said that what he said last night was true.
Zahid: so you want to forgive me already?
Ertha: ...no
Zahid smiled: yes dont do that
Zahid: I will wait, ertha

then Zahid asked her if she has a dream about Arantium frequently, she answered yes. Zahid didnt like Arantium when Ertha dreamed about Arantium for the first time. He will interrogate about it. Then said he will conquer the Vatican first.

Then they ate breakfast together.

The negotiation ended because Zahid postponed it and changed the target of the conquest.

Ronya and Anchen came to Ertha and said that Zahid has disappeared. last night they interrogated the worshippers. then Genocius appeared. the two of them talked alone and Zahid followed the Pope and didnt come back. Then Ertha decided to save Zahid. She went to the Empire first along with Hirkan, Ronya, Anchen, and the siblings.

Ertha ordered the knights, Arles Knights to go to Vatican. surprisingly, the knights were more obedient to Ertha than to Ronya because they're Arles Knights.

When they arrived, Charles, Ethan, along with the knights made a distraction while Hirkan and Ertha will find Zahid.

then the two of them met the Pope. they asked where Zahid was. Pope offered them a tea, the flower was from his garden. Hirkan was mad because pope wanted to give ertha the tea.
Pope said that it was funny to see Hirkan came here against him. they've been working on the flower garden together before.
Pope: you dont know ertha? its fun. (it was mentioned several times that the pope likes his garden, he used hirkan to kill the people he didnt like and use the blood as a fertilizer, if hirkan obeyed his order, pope will heal him).
Hirkan told Ertha everything. Ertha said it was okay, Hirkan wanted to protect Ertha even though he was still scared of pope.

Pope: its great then. im afraid of wizard, so i bring a new escort.

it was Zahid.

Zahid came to pope and followed his order, to save Ertha. the worshippers would use ertha as a sacrifice to awaken Arantium.

Zahid hugged her.
Ertha opened her eyes, but it wasnt Ertha.

Looking at the other side, I saw Zahid. Everything is falling apart. I saw myself in his embrace. My body looked dead. Zahid was crying. It was something that I never imagined.
- Ertha, please......
When I was about to run to him ".....!"
My body was hit by something. It was a transparent glass. Zahid was losing his temper.
- Zahid, I'm here!
- Zahid!
but he couldn't hear her no matter what.
- I'm sorry Ertha.. I-I'm... I'm wrong...
the moment after he whispered that words, the focus from his purple eyes was completely disappeared. Black light spread out in all directions.
- No.....

Ertha turned around to find something to break the glass, then she saw Arantium. Arantium told her that Ertha was the one who understand her. She knew what happened to Arantium.
Arantium told her to not foolishly falling in love. Ertha said it was her choice, so just let her go.

the demons plucked her wings, and the teeth stuck on her skin. It was the beginning of 99 nights. after long nights, she lost her sacred body and was born as the Empress of Demons. (so this what happened in 99 nights, other people only know that Arantium, the traitor, had an orgy with demons on 99 nights, but the truth was revealed here).

Him in the mirror (I will say 'it') seemed want to help Zahid. Zahid had an opportunity to bring Ertha back. he gathered the pieces, one by one, even though it was so painful. While picking up the pieces, he could see Ertha's memories with him.

then she realized, it was because there was Essis in that special wizard.
When Essis scattered the boy's soul and sent it to hell, he also kept the biy's soul to make sure Arantium wouldn't try to fix the boy's soul.
But for some reason, unlike Arantium, Essis was not in a state to recovering.

It was explained that at the moment Zahid attacked the Pope, strangely, Essis was the one who took over Pope's power and brought back Arantium. (welp its so hard to explain this, but it was mentioned the moment the Zahid attacked the Pope, the power that was spread wasn't Pope's power). - also I just remembered the pope didnt die at this moment lol.

Even after hundreds of years, Essis has not given up his lingering feeling to Arantium. but she couldn't forgive him.

I’m not sure if i can sum it any better and i might not good at english, but i will try lol. So in this story they are magician and purifier. When magician used too much magic they will be devour by malignancy. The heroine, Ertha, is a girl reincarnated to this world. She know what gonna happen in the story but not all of it since she not finished reading yet. All she know is she is a purifier, her siblings is wizards and the heroic is also a wizard. Her family is bankrupted and her parents committed suicide. So she have to take care of her siblings by her own. After years past by, they wrer starving to nearly death. So, Ertha decided to go see the heroic, Zahid, to reveal that she is a purifier and sold herself to survive. After that she keeps dreaming about one angel that fall from heaven to hell. She don’t know why and also some people told her that she is a reincarnated of that angel. But Ertha still not sure what is happening, i guess? She continued living with Zahid while also trying to find the way to run away from him. (Since she know that he will try to eat her and he want to eliminate all the wizard, and her siblings will reveal as a wizard soon) Zahid, knowing that she always wanted to run away, make a bet with Ertge whether she will fall for him first or she will successfully run away first. Soon after she realized that was in love with Zahid and she told him that she admitted her lose. So Zahid was kinda reassured that Ertha won’t run away soon. They continued living together and Zahid started getting jealous when he saw her with another man. His obsession make he feel anxious but he don’t know why he cannot feel calm when he is with purifier, and he don’t like this feeling. After that when he visit the pope at Vatican. The pope was plotting to broke them apart (for some reason that im not sure about) The pope told Zahid to eat the purifier so he can feel calm forever. After Zahid came back from meeting the pope he ask Ertha on a date and they were really happy. However, at the end of the day when they were watching the sunset and Ertha smiled at him brightly for the first time he got a feeling that he never felt before. He don’t understand it so he tried to eliminate it by killing Ertha. He tried to kill her but he couldn’t so he just lock her in the room, afraid that she might run away. So Ertha still in love with him but she decided to run away to save herself and her siblings. After awhile he realized what is this feeling called and she let her free. He told her if she wanted to run away she have to kill him first and she don’t want to do it so they just continued living together even the atmosphere was changed. One day Zahid go out to kill the emperor since he always want to conquer the continent. Ertha had a chance to run away and she took it. She has a wizard friend that is a captive from another country named Hirkan and he helped her to teleport along with him. Zahid came running to stop her and begged her not to go but it is too late. She leave with her siblings and Hirkan. Then it start a time skip for 5 years.

(The one that she frequently dream about, the angel name is Arantium) They tried to use her as a sacrifice to bring back Aruntium but Zahid came and saved her. After that Zahid went to see the pope to ask about Ertha and Arantium (I guess? Im not sure why he went to see the pope since they basically are enemy) Anyway, Zahid didn’t comeback for awhile and Ertha got worry so she go to Vatican with Zahid’s knights, Hirkan and her sibilngs. The found the pope and Zahid that seem to be controlled by the pope. The pope also wanted to sacrifice Ertha for some reason but Zahid who pretend to be controlled attack him so now the pope turn to be a sacrifice. Zahid ran toward Ertha but when she opened her eyes it was Arantium. Arantium told him that the human body cannot contain her soul and his lover soul will be shattered and scattered, he will feel the same pain as she was before. Then Ertha close her eyes and not wake up again no matter how many time Zahid called her name and begged for her to comeback. Zahid went mad and cannot control himself. Now Ertha was in another world she saw Zahid went mad but her voices cannot reach him. She turned around to find a way out then she saw Arantium, the fallen angel. Arantium told her a story that Arantium fall in love with a human. Falling in love is considered as sin for angels who have no emotion. So the god, Essis, punished that human by crushed his soul and scatter it in the hell. Arantium jump to the hell to help him but it is too late, the man soul was eaten by demons so Arantium let the demons devour her. After 99 nights her body was fully devoured by demons and she reborn as a empress of demon and went to attack the heaven. Before she killed Essis, she looked in his eyes and found that Essis also has a feeling too. She asked why he did that to her and make her suffer. Essis answers that because Arantium shouldn’t love the human she should love him, as she always does. Finally, Arantium killed Essis and sawthat he kept a piece of her lover soul to make sure that Arantium cannot bring all that human soul back. But right after Essis died the heaven and hell was fallen. They soul scatter and reborn as a human. Who has a demon soul will be a wizard.(I’m not sure are they gonna be a purifier or a wizard if they have an angel soul). The heroine, Ertha, was the missing soul of Arantium that born in to the wrong world and just came back. While Zahid was the soul of Essis half mixed with Arantium lover soul. (Since Essis kept one piece of that human soul) That is why Zahid is kinda inhuman and self-center (like Essis), but also care for Ertha as the same time. Arantium warned Ertha not to fall in love with Zahid since he is selfish and can only hurt people like Essis did to her. Arantium said that Ertha only love him because half of his soul is Arantium’s lover. Ertha was looking at the Zahid who is now engulf with the malicious, his soul cross between live and death. Zahid found Ertha soul that was shattered into thousand pieces and he was trying to fix it. While he touched Ertha souls he began to see what he did to her in the past and he kept saying sorry. Seeing that, Ertha told Arantium that no matter what she is in love with this man. And she won’t let her story ended like Arantium. Finally, Arantium let Ertha go. When Ertha woke up she ran to Zahid that went mad and touched him to purify him. Zahid came to his sense and cried while begging for her forgiveness. Ertha forgave him and tell him that she also love him. After that Ertha told him everything about why she knew everything from the beginning. (As she read a novel) Soon after Zahid gave away the position as an emperor and started living with Ertha. Happy ending!
