So this story is rushed af, but tbh it doesn’t bother me much lol. Lots of issues casually resolved in the span of one chapter, tons of time skips. Like the war being done in one chapter, the antagonists being punished in the same amount of time. The development of relationships is extremely rushed and not focused on. Examples include FL bonding with the two kids, with the daughter’s being a quick montage in the first two chapters of the story, and the son hardly having much screen time with the FL. You could probably count the amount of times they interacted on your hand(s). Same with the ML, he quickly fell for her, as well as the 2nd lead and the 3rd lead. Then the 2nd lead saying he’ll return in three months after the contract ends- but then he doesn’t show up for multiple chapters and appears years later when the kids have grown up and the FL has been married to the ML for years already.
Lots of issues with the rushing of everything but this is an easy read for anyone who’s bored. I will say though- it’s odd that both the ML and FL noticed their children liked each other very early on but did nothing about it. Never thought about what will happen to the kids when they’re officially married. Ig both FL and ML truly didn’t give af about their kids feelings lmfao. It’s likely they’ll go with the flow of “if they like each other cool! Be together then!” Even when it’s established none of them are actually blood related (saying that ML and son isn’t blood related and neither is the FL and daughter), the whole empire knows the two are lawfully siblings- so idk how they’ll resolve that but it’s likely they’ll rush that resolution too. It doesn’t help that it looks like the final chapter is chapter 60. Anyways one other interesting fact is that it looks like they changed Coral’s appearance from the novel. In the novel she has the same silver hair as FL and has red eyes. In the manhwa she has an entirely different appearance, with pink hair and blue eyes. Thought that was an odd change.

I’m surprised people don’t realize that “babe” or any “sweet” nicknames aren’t always used for lovers. There’s people who naturally call others nicknames like friends or waitresses who use nicknames when talking to others.
Then there’s the thing where they use nicknames to make people mad. Like when you’re in an argument and someone says “sweetheart, you really thought you ate with that comment?” It’s the number one fastest way to get ppl mad lmfaooo

The amount of naivety here is wild. It’s the classic misunderstanding trope in many ways.

The kid is his little brother lmfao. The child’s too young to differentiate the difference hence why he calls him dad. Plus it’s the relatable older sibling huge age gap where the oldest child acts more like a parent to their younger sibling. So he basically often takes care of his brother more than his parents. Anyways the scenes with the brother is soooo cute. There’s one part where the guy cooks some pancakes for them and you can see he cut out the pancakes he gave to FL and his brother in the shape of a bear. AND on his own plate he ate the leftover scraps from the cut out!
╥﹏╥
Also the reason he doesn’t reject girls is cause of valid trauma. A girl once confessed to him back in high school in front of the whole class, and he rejected her. She got mad and was like “you don’t know me?! I’m the one that leaves stuff for you in your desk all the time!” And he’s like, “yeah but you do that secretly..how would I know you? Anyways you don’t need to do that anymore.” Then she pulled out a box cutter and threatened to kill her self, sliced/blood splatter. Whole class screamed. Idk if she really did commit or not since it cut out what happened after. So now he’s traumatized and regrets what happened and wished he’d reacted differently.
Another event is when he finds the ring. FL panics and goes through a whole dream sequence where she imagines him finding out the ability of the ring and being mad and leaving. Whereas he didn’t see the ability of the ring and only saw the set of initials inside. So then he asks his friend how to get a girl to get over her ex.
Now I just finished season one. And I think the story is pretty entertaining and the art is super cute. The only thing is that I noticed a bunch of stuff happens off screen and you only see the results after.
Mention of spoilers for those who haven’t finished season one:

Things like the ML’s brother and stepmom situation getting resolved in one chapter without even showing their faces since before the timeskip. The entire time skip of FL living at the medeste house. FL being close to a guild leader which we never saw their interaction before until after they just said they knew each other. Meriel’s meeting with the crown prince and how they fell for each other, etc. It’s just that a lot of things are mentioned and then aren’t shown the progress of.
