Walnut 's backstory is still too weak to justify him abandoning Llewelyn. He had all the opportunities to at least check on her himself, send her a friendly letter after that year, ANYTHING. But nooooooo, he had to be dramatic (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

She mostly had beef with all potential Saintesses, because she fel like the goddess replaced her with humans. So she probably chose someone most likely to become a saintess or just a scape goat to take her anger on - but basically inflict the same pain that was inflicted on her. Hope that helps.
