My first issue I noticed is with the sloppy character introductions, or lack of them actually. So many new characters appear and if they are introduced it's done with a single sentence. This was pretty jarring and really messes up with the pacing and theres a lack of smooth transition. Lol jarring entry exhibit a: when main lead and male lead first meet. Instead of the normal greetings of steping off the carriage and introducing themself, it was like, *mc steps off* BAM theres a hand under her hand *! nani!? It's the male lead! *tune in for greetings in the next chapter* LOL my dude, open the door and introduce yourself first THEN you can take her hand and lead her off the carriage don't take her hand when shes pretty much already off. That entry was so unexpected and sudden that I literally laughed out loud and cringed lmao. Although this isnt that big a deal it's still enough to make me come out of the story and all this tiny attention to detail or lack of add up. You want your viewer completely immersed in your story, nothing should make them come out of it.
Now let's start talking about the main lead. Tbh there isnt much to talk about and that's the issue and it's a damn shame, because a character with friggen destruction magic could have been a joy to watch. Now if you give a character "destruction magic" I better see the destruction, not that joke of a tiny crack on the ground that supposedly chased away those guards. Her character or what she's done is always just told to us with words and a lack of action. Show me her actually doing stuff. The audience isnt dumb, you dont have to tell us with words every single thing thats going on. This lack of any action is also why her character is so flat. Why are you being a doormat? Youve got destruction magic, destroy them all and live up to you name as the "evil lady" lmao wht a joke that people even believe the rumors of her being evil, infact her being rumored as the evil lady doesnt make any sense and the way that is played up so much and made a big deal of all the time gets rather annoying. I'd actually prefer if she was actually evil because that would be an upgrade to her flat personality lol.
This could have been interesting but I don't think the execution was very well done. Well this is just my unpopular opinion seeing how highly rated this is. If you liked it Im glad you were able to enjoy it, this one's just not for me.

Although Im not personally into it, (Id rather read somthing consensual where both parties are of a good age lol) I think it's fine for people to like it if it's fiction. It is perfectly possible and acceptable for someone to like it when it's fiction and be very against it in real life. I imagine it would be a similar concept to roleplay.
I guess nobody bothered to do some tiny bit of reading research on the topic before commenting all their opinions so Ill summarize some key points found from the wikipedia page: There is NO evidence suggesting that shota or loli manga contributes to actual sexual abuse of children. Findings even suggest that there was a DECREASE of sexual abuse cases against children. What this means is that people reading shota or loli manga can differentiate between fiction and real life, if anything they are only attracted to it BECAUSE it is manga and it is not real. The wikipedia page also states that restricting it "might actually increase the rate of sexual crime by eliminating a harmless outlet for desires that could motivate crime"
So, as long as reading manga doesnt translate into making you want to do it or support it in real life then it's fine and pretty harmless. Everyone acting like the mangaka is the devil (lol) needs to calm down and do even the tiniest bit of reading before shoving their ideals and morals down everyones throat.
*sigh*Im getting a bit fed up with when manga has these types of characters. They just seem like really bland and shallow characters, blatantly made to have the audience hate them, so that they can then be delivered justice by the mc. They just seem like a plot device for catharsis. I wanna read something without these sorta characters so if anyone has any recommendations please suggest them to me
That, or something with an actually well written and fleshed out 'villain' who isnt just some cheap plot device and is actually their own character lmao
i mean they're meant to be like that. in a lot of manga and ln, having characters that are bland and one dimensional is wanted because it allows for the reader to project them or others onto the characters,
lol I dont think youre supposed to project onto the "evil" ppl tho? But yeah, I also tend to dislike characters (if you can even call thm tht lol) made for self projection =.=
well like, projecting someone you hate on to them.
to be honest it can be super aggravating, but to have a black slate of a character you can feel hatred for without being dialectical about,,
sometimes it's nice to turn your brain off.
Ah yeah, I see your point. I guess it could be pretty stress relieving so I see how this would work for some people. Guess it just isnt my thing personally ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I think I've just seen it done so much that now I get a little annoyed lol
that's valid!! i'm into pysch and the like so just being able to blindly hate on someone is,, relieving. no need to get caught up in dialectics like in real life.
we've got different perspective but Im glad we were able to talk about it so civilly (lol I find thats quite rare for this site) Interesting seeing another point of view:)
whoops, I meant to respond to this in my previous comment lol
