can you explain why? (im just curious to know) Ilia
i don’t have any past experiences relating to this but i think it’s a feeling of wanting to hurt the person that hurt you, and it hurts even worse when it’s a family member, someone that’s supposed to protect you. also, thinking about how he never talked about his abuse, never really processed it in a healthy way, he couldn’t have ever felt any sort of positive way towards his dad. (plus he abused his mom as well, mind you, he was a child when he witnessed abuse, and when he was abused, which DEEPLY affects your development.) -again i don’t have any experience with this but i hope this helped a bit ◡

it’s actually super normal to want to kill your abuser. it’s your brain trying to take back control after being hurt. the anger, rage, and even violent thoughts are all part of how trauma shows up. doesn’t mean you’re bad — it means what they did to you was that wrong.speaking from prior experience
