What I love most about this story is how it kept to the theme of "realistic struggles". From how the conflicts come out and how some of them are left unresolved just make the story so human. If this was adapted to film or drama, I bet it would be beautiful.

Me either, I understand his loathing but I don't get his actions Isn't by killing the MC he'd be the reason to kill more people in the process because he KNOWS that the Emperor goes batsh*t insane and massacres people if the Mc dies. He's kind of hypocritical and idiotic to blame the Mc for the Emperor's killings but foolishly tries to be the reason for even MORE deaths, I think his multiple transgressions are the result of his incompetence, also him getting in the way of the plans while having so many antagonists are so annoying

Unpopular opinion but I actually liked the story. It's great in a fucked up mental torture way. Also the novel is beautifully written.
They're both got more than a few screws loose but strangely, they're better and happier people when they're with each other. Seems to me like they're a couple who would mellow out as they grow old together. (⌒▽⌒)
